Gabriel Cosmetics Mascara (Black Brown), Natural, Paraben Free, Vegan, Gluten free, Cruelty free, No GMO, Voluminous full lashes, Non flaky, Water resistant, 0.25 Fl Oz

I used Gabriel Cosmetics Black/Brown Mascara years a go and came back to it. I must have gotten a fresh tube as it isn't dried out like recent reviews have stated. No flaking, no irritation. No smudging if I'm not rushed. Good color that is dark but not black. It does a good job of looking like my lashes but better, some length, more smoldering. If you want a glamorous, almost fake lash look, this isn't the one. Dramatic enough for me though. If I could deduct from the 5th star -I would say it doesn't create a lot of volume for me. I was planning to try Tower28 in Drift- but glad I tried this again.

I searched long and hard for an all-natural mascara to use during pregnancy. This one was my favorite of the ones I've tried - it made my lashes look nice and thick and soft, it doesn't rub off too easily like some of the others, and it's comfortable to wear - it doesn't irritate my eyes. I reordered it recently and it seems the formula has changed slightly. It's a little more liquid-y, less solid, which makes for a slightly more spidery look on my lashes, which I don't like quite as much. But I still prefer it to other brands, and definitely prefer it to the other chemically nonsense I was stuck with before! Recommend. UPDATE: I've been using it for a few weeks now, and now it's just the same as I remember it. I guess the formula didn't change after all! I must have just gotten a really fresh batch. The mascara now gives me the nice thick, soft look I was going for. Love it!

I have been using and trying various brands of mascaras seemingly forever. I have bought the cheap and the expensive, but after discovering severe intolerances to grains and grasses, I switched to gluten free cosmetics. I have liked mascara forever and it is the one thing that my pale eyelashes and I require to have a happy face day. This mascara glides on very easily, and two coats later I am ready to face the day. I have loved a lot of mascaras and hated an equal number, but this one is firmly in the love column, at the top of the list. No smearing, no flaking, no itchy watery eyes, and no big price tag. The price is really good for any quality product, but it is especially good for gluten free, where onerous pricing is the rule and not a rarity. I can buy two tubes of this versus the one tube of other brands that I have tried, and my eyes and credit card both love it. I am also a fan of their dual foundation powder and blush, but that's for another day and another review. This is the mascara that I have always looked for and I finally found it. It won't change the world or make everything peaceful and wonderful, but it will make me happy to wear it, and it will make my eyelashes and eyes very happy. That's what I wanted and that's what I got. Thank you Gabriel. This is a home run.

I have to say I love the ingredients and concept of this mascara! It is, in my opinion, a bit overpriced, but considering the ingredients, it's worth it to pay more. However, I found that this mascara takes at least 3-5 layers/applications to have a thickening effect. It also dries out and flakes off easily throughout the day. And it does not last more than a month. The brush does have an excellent function of separating the lashes perfectly and preventing clumping. Clumping was never an issue with this mascara, and the look is very natural. It does not have a dramatic effect, if that's what you like. If you can afford buying it often and don't mind reapplying or taking longer for the first application, then go for it! But for a busy mom that every 3 minutes of the day counts and every $10 dollars count, then I do not recommend it. The one thing I loved about it is that it comes off amazingly easy at night, no scrubbing or rubbing away for a long time. My new favorite mascara is the stellar gaze by Pacifica! It's about the same price as this one, still natural, but much better performance overall in all the factors I described above.

Love this mascara!!!! Lengthens my eyelashes and doesn’t leave any flakes behind! Also, I’ve actually fallen asleep with it on a couple times and it does not itch, burn, or irritate my eyes. Another plus is that it rinses off easily with a splash of water..I’m not a fan of waterproof mascara because it’s highly irritating to my eyes and difficult to get off so this one is great for me. Lastly, I noticed that other mascaras made my eyelashes fall out and this one did not at all!! Bought my second tube and plan to continue using this.

I’ve never had any makeup of any kind irritate my skin or eyes as much as this did. I delusionally continued to use it because I do like the color and minimalist look of it - it doesn’t drastically extend your lashes. But will be throwing it out due to the irritation. Sadly too late to return so will not be buying the brand again.

Pros: Natural ingredients, not tested on animals, etc. Looks pretty good once you get it on. Doesn't cause irritation. Washes off very easily. Cons: Very sticky and messy - hard to control it going on, gets all over. I end up with gross black eye "boogers" in the corners of my eyes - thinking this is from it flaking off and my eyes flushing out the pieces, this problem alone has made this a no go for me but I know everyone's eyes are different.

I love this mascara. I've been using it for years with great results. Here's why I like it: -***I don't get puffy eyelids anymore, which used to be a consistent problem (!)*** -It doesn't irritate my eyes or underneath my eyelids (which is where most mascaras used to irritate), which I attribute to its natural status, but who knows -It doesn't make my lashes clump -It makes my lashes look longer (they need all the help they can get), and if I apply it slowly and apply a couple of layers back to back after curling my lashes, this really helps my lashes look longer -It makes my lashes look thicker and darker (I always order the black color) -I always get a consistent application with it The only downside is that it seems that the mascara doesn't last super long (I estimate 4-5 months of daily use). It seemed like all of my previous mascaras, without fail, lasted for almost a year. (Written by Woody's wife; Woody does not wear mascara)

I like that this produce doesn't involve animal testing or use animal products in its manufacture. However, it's quite thin and requires a number of coats to be effective. I bought it too hoping it would help rid me of itchy eyes caused by other mascaras, but this hasn't happened. Disappointing.

My favourite toxin-free mascara. Started using it years ago and continue to love it.

I love this mascara. It looks really natural and doesn’t bother my sensitive eyes.
