Chinese Made Easy for Kids 2nd Ed (Simplified) Workbook 1 (English and Chinese Edition)

I like this book. My kids are using this in their chinese class. The workbook is clear and shows the steps to write each character. This is a good book to learn Chinese

I love how this workbook helps my 7 year old learn pinyin and tones. The exercises are easy for him to do it without my help. Recommend it!

I don't understand why there is no CD? The pages and excercise requires you to "listen" to a CD? How can I use the book according to its instruction?! It says to listen to the recordings!

I am not sure I’ll love these books, but they look good. I write now just to address the concerns about their not being a CD. That’s true, and although they could be clearer about this, worry not: You can download all the audio files for free on the company’s website. Just google “Chinese Made Easy for Kids 1 Audio” and you will find it. Hope that addresses lots of issues I read in the comments.

I ordered this book along with the exercise book to teach Mandarin to a group of 7 - 9 years old students. after I received the book, I found out there isn't any CD's in the book. On the back of the book it said you can scan the QR code or visit their website to download the recording which I did, but I didn't find any recordings for the book that I used. I was native Chinese speaker I could get around without it, but for my students who are learning Chinese it is hard to use the book without the recordings. I would not recommend this series unless you work with private tutors who are native Chinese speakers.

This is a pricey book that comes incomplete because the audio files, if available, are definitely not easy to find. I have tried the QR code, I have tried the website, and I have tried googling it. If the audio files are out there, they seem to be well hidden. If anyone has a link to the audio files maybe that could be posted in the reviews? Without those audio files the book is absolutely 100% useless unless you happen to already be a native Chinese speaker.

Book is good, but no CD, so it doesn't work. It doesn't seem that I can contact the seller to order the CD. Now I wonder how I can get hold of the CD.
