Kript Flat Bottom Ceramic Mug with Aluminum Plate - This is not a flat bottom cup. It has a concave bottom! The aluminum plate only makes contact with the outside rim of the bottom of the cup. Works about the same as any concave bottom cup. I could not understand why this cup did not work any better than my regular flat bottom cups until the aluminum rim fell off revealing a huge glob of glue that the aluminum plate actually rested on. The aluminum plate actually has an open pocket between it and the bottom of the concave cup. I never put the cup in water as I was concerned about getting the wooden handle wet. I would rinse the cup, wipe it out and dry it carefully. The aluminum plate dropped off. I picked up the plate and glued it back on to the huge glob of glue that was initially holding the plate in place. I decided that this cup was not as advertised and returned it for a full refund. Had to repackage and take it to the UPS Office. Cup not recommended.

I purchased a mug warmer only to discover that most mugs are not flat bottomed. So my mug was hot and my coffee cold.I went on line to look and saw this really cool combo - flat bottom cup that came with a lid - which I thought would also be helpful keeping my cup of Joe warm.I purchased it and from the first day it arrived, not matter how distracted I was working on my project when I would take a sip of coffee, it was still nice and hot!

This mug is almost perfect. The quality of the ceramic mug is excellent. I even like the wooden handle. Thanks to the Amazon seller, it was delivered on Feb. 3, 2023. Very quick turnaround. However, On Feb. 5, 2023, the aluminum heating disc on the bottom of the mug separated while maintaining the coffee's heat temperature. I was so disappointed. I only used the mug once before the disc separated from the ceramic mug. My only question is to the manufacturer, what heat-resistant glue was used to adhere the aluminum disc to the ceramic mug?

I’ve been using this cup for over 2 years. I have two different cups like this one. I use one of them everyday and hand wash them every other day. I don’t particularly care for the handle, but it’s been a great cup. I read reviews about the bottom not being flat and it being glued on, mine was completely flat and it’s been glued on for 2 yrs. I’ve never had a problem with it and like I said, I use it a lot. I’m going to buy another one because the other cup I have cracked when I dropped it in the sink, that makes 2 of that brand I’ve broken. The only thing other than the handle that I don’t like is the lid. I think it made my coffee taste weird so I started using silicone lids.

When I bought the mus, I was looking for something that would enhance heat transfer from my mug warmer to the coffee in the mug. I assumed that this product would have a metal-only bottom, so that heat would move directly from the mug warmer to the coffee. No. It is not built that way. The metal is simply a disk that has been glued to the bottom of a standard ceramic mug, with the usual concave bottom. The irony is that less heat reaches the coffee. My coffee cools when I use this mug with my warmer. There is no other reason to have this mug. It does the opposite of what I hoped for.
