Inconsistent
Why did Po's husband change names in this 3rd book? In the first 2 books his name was Scott. In this book his name is Bruce. Also, in the first chapter there is a conversation amongst the quilters & all of a sudden someone named Esther is speaking. This happens a couple of times. Who is Esther? A new member who never gets introduced? Or typo? Very inconsistent & confusing.

A little slower than the previous two and some name inconsistencies, but a good mystery
The quilters got a large commission in this book when the twin sister of a recently murdered beloved local scholar arrived in town. She didn't leave the best impression on people and shocked the town when she announced that she was opening a B&B in her family's mansion. The Queen Bee Quilt Shop quilters were happy to take on the task of making eight quilts to go in eight of the rooms of the B&B. In the meantime, a killer was lurking out there someplace, and Po & Crew knew that they'd be investigating.Somehow this book seemed to move a lot slower than the previous two. The story was good, and we got the usual camaraderie of the ladies and their friends. I always love it when Po has Sunday dinner at her house for her friends. It give them a chance to talk about the case and pick any brains, but PJ wasn't even working the case this time which seemed a little odd. All in all, I did like it and the showdown was exciting. As it turned out, the town had a couple of new people to call friends. Now I'm wondering if the original fourth book in this series is going to be redone. I know this author's name isn't on it, and I'm not sure if the name Marnette Falley is a pen name for her or not. I at least have a copy of the original fourth book called "Dog-Gone Murder", so I intend to read it and see if any closure was brought to this series when it ended. I have two couples in mind that I would like to see happily ever afters for! ;)

Disconcerting Errors
Disconcerting to read that Po's dead husband's name changed from Scott to Bruce, and Esther who was dead in book 2 is now alive and well and a member of the quilting group! Also this was an easy plot to figure out early in the book. Despite these problems, this series remains interesting with likeable characters and ideal locale.

Boring
The murderer and the reason are glaringly obvious after the first few chapters. After that, the book is boring. There are many characters, and it is sometimes difficult to remember who is what. I had read the first two, so that was an advantage but it is still a rambling effort. I gave up about at about 30%. I don't like to not finish a book but if it is just annoying me, there is not point in extending the misery. The author is long on friendships but not that good at plotting a mystery. Her other series is the same. She is a good writer when it comes to painting the scene and the friendships involved. Just not for me anymore.

Good read
This was a good story. I like the characters and the setting. I especially like the quilt references as I am a quilter myself. I did figure out who the murderer was about halfway through the book but it didn't distract me from the rest of the story. I like Sally Goldenbaum's other series, The Seaside knitters.Recommend them to all cozy mystery lovers.

A great mystery!
Sally Goldenbaum is a great writer and this third book in her Queen Bees Quilt Shop mysteries is wonderful. I thought I had it all figured out and whoops, she wrote another twist. Great reading for a cold day in front of a warm fireplace.

Cute but predictable
Liked the book, but knew who committed the crime after just a few chapters. I finished it, but felt irritated most of the time.
