RJ45 Ethernet LAN Network Adapter for Phone Pad, Phone Ethernet Adapter, 3.3ft/1m Cable, 10/100Mbps High Speed,Plug and Play Enbia [Grey]

I bought this to use with BootMod3 and an Ethernet cable that I had previously purchased for a CarPlay installation. I experienced a problem setting the IP Address and Subnet Mask manually. I decided to try BimmerLink and BimmerCode using this adapter and the Ethernet cable and it worked with auto DCHP, so I went back and tried BootMod3 again and it connected using the auto DHCP setup. I was able to use all functionality in all 3 apps including data logging. I am going to attribute my failing to get the settings correct on my first attempt to ignorance. If you have problems connecting, be patient, try again and it should work for you.

Purchased for use with an OBDII-to-Ethernet cable for tuning and monitoring my BMW; works perfectly and have not experienced any connection or build quality issues. Works exactly as expected and is priced accordingly.

Don't expect Big Telecom or the government to tell you anything to protect your safety or the safety of your children. Do your homework. Actual scientists established decades ago that electromagnetic radiation is connected with all kinds of serious health problems. Hundreds of studies prove it conclusively. But all the studies financed by Big Telecom found "no connection." Duh. Do your homework, get your home wired for Ethernet and use these instead to connect your iphones and tablets. They work great, connection is super fast (faster than bluetooth or wifi).

Lasted almost 4 years

This ethernet to lightning Giochem cable never worked. I bought it as a backup to similar products I have from other manufacturers that work fine. In the 18 months that I have owned it, I tried to connect it to iPads and an iPhone but could never get an Internet connection. This summer, with most of my tech cables at school, and with the Giochem cable here at my apartment, and with my Mom visiting who needed Internet access via this cable, I was upset to find that using multiple ethernet cables that were carrying signal to multiple computers, none of them carried the signal to her iPhone or iPad when using this adapter cable from Giochem. Does this item have a 2 year warranty? It has never been used and has never worked! I just didn't have the time to trouble shoot until now to finally discover definitely that several perfectly fine ethernet cables all fail when connected to this adapter. Not happy!!

I have purchased 2 Belkin lightning to ethernet chargers at $100 each. Too expensive since they never lasted very long. Was determined to find something for my iPad since WI-FI makes me sick. Checked out all the bad reviews for ALL the so called apple authorized knock offs and found this. The bad reviews for this one seemed to be from people using with phones. But an iPad reviewer gave me hope. It’s important to get online with my iPad with ethernet and no problem for me to charge it separately. So damn happy to find out this thing actually works…arrived today. Will give an update if it dies in 2 weeks. Hoping it will at least last as long as the horrible Belkin connector/chargers…which are a definite design flawed product.

connected right away but connection dropped more than it should. thinking of returning

This is the best of 3 brands I've gotten so far (mine is white version, about 3 ft). First, it's still working...Second, because of the long cord, the business end is not sticking right out of my phone where it would both get in the way and would bend and third, there is no annoying flashing light like some others. I've also noticed it is not unduly draining the battery like others report and it does not get hot unlike others I've tried. Speeds seem to be as advertised and faster than wifi ( but i sure wish iMessage and FaceTime were comparable with ethernet) Hope I ididn't jinx it, but so far, so great.
