3M Auto High Strength Red Lens Repair Film, 03341, 3.75 in x 7.75 in

I'm using this roll of clear repair tape for my weekend hike. Last time, I snagged it on the side pocket of my backpack on an old forest trail, and it tore a small hole next to the zipper. I cleaned it up in my car before sticking it on. It doesn't curl up and holds firmly when pressed down. The only thing that disappoints me a little is that it only holds better after being pressed for a while in the rain; it's less of a hassle when it's dry. 😊🚶

Good sturdy tape. Clean surface well or it might not stay stuck on well. Has a slightly purple/pinkish tint, but is fine for a red taillight. Best deal I found on clear red tape. I couldn’t find transparent red tape anywhere locally.

My late-night browse purchase was for a split clear document sleeve I keep beside my desk, since paper kept catching on the torn edge during work calls. As a remote software dev, I grab printed notes between coding sessions. I cut a short strip and pressed it over the split, and it held the sleeve together while I could still read the label underneath. Handy when I needed to pull out an onboarding checklist mid-call. The roll works for small fixes, though I wished it were a little wider when I tried to cover a longer tear in one go. I used two strips and lined them up carefully. It isn't pretty close up, but it stopped the snagging and got me back to my laptop.

I repaired a broken brakelight lens with this stuff. Here are my impressions: -- WHAT SIDE IS THE FILM ON: Its difficult to determine what side the removable film is on. They should put labels on it so it's easy to see. -- DONT CUT TO SHAPE OF BREAK!: The instructions state to cut out the film in the shape of the break with a 1/2" overlap. This is a mistake. It's better to leave the film rectangular as it will then better blend with the other lines of the brake light. -- NO CLEANER PROVIDED: The instructions specify a 3M pre-treat on the lens, but nothing is provided in the kit. Not even a tiny little dropper, which is all that is needed. -- TRACE ON WRONG SIDE: The instruction states to trace the broken section on the 3M material. If you happen to trace it on the film size, since it's impossible to tell, you will trace it backward,s and it won't cover the break properly -- COLOR MATCHES: The material color is a good match for the brakelight lens. -- USE ALCOHOL TO CLEAN: Since the kit is not provided with the specified fancy 3M cleaner, I used alcohol to clean the lens before applying the 3M material. That seemed to work fine. -- ADHERES WELL: The 3M film adheres well to the brake light lens. Time will tell if it prevents wanter infiltrating. -- AGRRESSIVE TACK: The adhesive is very aggressive, but with a small area of an edge attached, I was able to pull it off to reposition, and the area that contacted seemed to still adhere when I reapplied it. CONCLUSION: Good Adhesion and Color, No Cleaner Provided, Its a Mistake to Cut to the Shape of Break

Worked well to temporarily cover a broken vehicle headlight

Taking weekend hikes means I eventually tear or split something, so I bought this tape to keep in my car kit. Last Saturday, I noticed a split along the edge of my clear map sleeve while getting ready at the trailhead parking lot. I cut a short piece and pressed it over the tear. It stayed put through the hike, and I could still read the map without peeling the patch back. That was handy. The roll is wider than I need for small fixes, though, and starting the tape with cold fingers took a couple tries. I’ll keep it in the car for quick plastic repairs, but I’m adding a small pair of scissors beside it.

I like this product because the color was very good the light transparency was good and the adhesion was outstanding
