Most common Ikea allen wrench used is 4 and 3 mm. I don't remember but I think this was 3mm.

I think that is right. 5mm is 13/64. They are really really nice quality and work very well. I am a builder and used on an outside door.

No the length is the physical length You will need screws at least 40mm in length to made room for the nut
