Lightweight Vinyl Sound Damping Sheet 27" x 40"

Love the concept of this product, especially when used as a moisture barrier replacement in the doors. Unfortunately the adhesive does not work as well as it should. Keep in mind you MUST use a heat gun to apply. But even then, the adhesive does not seem to hold all that well. The edges/corners tend to lift up over time. I attempted to use the material I had left over to dampen the underside of the rear deck in my sedan. This is the only part of my vehicle where the deadening material is visible and I find this is much more astheically pleasing than traditional butyl products. However, now, a couple weeks have passed and the product is starting to come loose. Because of this I recommend not using this product on the underside of horizontal panels. It just does not have the adhesion to remain in place. I'm sure it would be fine in applications where gravity is not working against it. Make you you prep the area well, preferably with isopropyl alcohol. Again, make sure to also use a heat gun.

Dampens vibrational sound really well, but not so much internally generated sound. It still dramatically reduced computer sound after lining the case with it.
