Expensive yet cheap knock-off
This looked like the original Pierre Paulin tongue chair. Alas, it is really a miniaturized version apparently made for kids and cats. The price seemed like a bargain, slashed from $1000 to $500, until I actually received it. Then I realized that it wasn't even worth the slashed price. So in this case it's not like "you get what you pay for". You pay a lot for nothing. Fortunately, Amazon had a very good return policy.
