I swim regularly. I needed something to get the chlorine out of my hair and off my bod after every swim. Body wash and regular shampoo won't work. Bespoke products are expensive and difficult to get hold of. I saw something online about the benefits of using vitamin C powder to break the chemical bond between skin, hair and chlorine, did some research, bought this product, invested in some kit to make up a PH neutral solution and tried it today.It works. My bod no longer stinks of chlorine, even after I've showered, following a swim.Here's the formula: 16 fl. ozs water; 1 tsp (teaspoon) of ascorbic acid powder (this brilliant product); 1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda (baking powder - cheap and available everywhere). Here's the kit: Mixing jug, accurate tsp quantity measure, wooden mixing spoon and clean gardener's 1ltr spray bottle (plastic).Here's How: After a swim and just before you shower, remove all jewellery. Mix together the powders and the water in the jug with the wooden spoon. Decant the solution into the spray bottle once it's stopped fizzing. Get fully wet under the shower, spray the solution all over (face/hair/rest of bod - keep eyes tight shut when spraying face). Shower immediately using your normal shampoo and body wash. Discard any unused solution.Result = excellent. No more chlorine smell. Soft skin, soft hair and a much happier swimmer.

Perfect for homemade Vit c serum, did the test to make sure it was authentic and it turned yellow if left exposed, so know for sure it's the real stuff.

I was not aware during ordering that the best before date is less than 6 months away. The purpose is to make my own serum. How long can I continue to use the powder after April or do I have to buy a new batch?

Disappointed that the product that arrived today (4th Feb 2014) expires 04/2013 ... wanted to use for DIY VIT C serum so not cost effective purchase of such a large volume when only a 1/2 teaspoon need to make a small batch for personal use only!

I started using this just one week ago after reading about the positive benefits of topically applied vitamin C. I wish I'd known about this years ago. Save your money and look up recipes on makeupalley my skin is glowing, dark areas have lightened, acne scars are dissapearing and it is firmer and smoother in just ONE WEEK. I am beyond delighted. I cannot recommend it highly enough, however it is NOT for those with sensitive skin as it does sting a little on 1st application. I am using it in combination with topical vitamin E. as this is recommended on Paula Begouns website as dermatologically proven with peer reviewed research. Topically applied Green Tea is also recommended and I intend to try this too.

Arrived as scheduled in a very nice hard cardboard tube. The only minus - the postage cost which is higher then the product.
