Be careful to decide what you need. I may not have shopped as well as I should have. These are great quality glasses, the problem is knowing what you need. They saved me a lot of money gaining the experience in choosing. expensive prescription glasses without trial. Even though I will not be wanting to use them except for special times it was useful to try them. I have some aggravation as I explained my situation to my optometrist and he has had very lame recommendation for such a simple issue. I decided to save money by trying some cheaper over the counter glasses to pick what works for me, then maybe I'd get expensive prescription ones. I see nearly 20-20 at distance, but I need about 2.25 for computer, nearly 3.0 for detail work. I bought these 2.25 as I use at a computer 12 hrs a day; then I do some really close up stuff for my hobbies at home. The optical quality of these glasses that I am reviewing are. excellent, the case is great, the quality and durability looks equal to highest quality over the counter reading glasses. I am totally satisfied with them. The issue is this: did I pick the correct ones for what I need. It is tricky as amazon has lots of options but the descriptions of what they actually are is not always clear. The issue I have with these glasses is this: the closeup region on these glasses are quite small part of the overall field of view. The closeup region is way too small for the dominant usage. The same happened with my prescription progressive glasses. The angle for what worked for me was so small that I had to tilt my head perfectly for them to work well. I thought that I should try bifocals where I wouldn't have to hunt for the perfect angle as with progressives. Well, the closeup part of these glasses is pretty small. They are optimal for someone needs closeup only occassionally. The closeup area really is pretty small....

I usually buy dollar store readers by the dozen, and stash them EVERYWHERE. Yet, somehow, I can never find a pair when I need one! Also, I was really tired of not being able to glance at my phone when out and about without stopping, digging in my purse for the reading glasses, taking off my sunglasses, putting on the readers, etc. My distance vision is fine, but I actually bought prescription bifocals and even progressives at one point, but never got used to them and hated that they would fall off if I bent down. These were pretty inexpensive and free returns, so I thought, what the heck, I'll give them a try. Boy was I surprised! They fit (I have a very small face), they are comfortable, and they don't fall off when I bend down! I'm wearing them right now as I write this, and I had very little adjustment period. They just felt "right" from the first time I put them on. I've already ordered a second pair incase I break or lose these. They're PERFECT!

My prescription bifocals broke, and I replaced them with these at a good price. They are not progressive lenses, so they are not particularly stylish. (But they are more stylish than looking over the top of your reading glasses.) As with any bifocals, they aren't recommended for use with a computer monitor at the correct ergonomic height, because you have to tilt your head up to see through the bottom of the lens. I do use them a lot while driving because I can see clearly through the top and can read the instrument panel better.

I needed an inexpensive bifocal to use after having cataract surgery. Although I could buy reading glasses at the drug store, I couldn't find any that were a bifocal. I work as a psychologist and need to be able to look at my patients while frequently glancing down to take notes. These have worked very well for that purpose. They seem to be well-made and so far have held up very well. I can see well enough with them to meet my needs. I probably will now purchase a prescription pair (with the help of my insurance) for a more customized fit for my vision needs and to have a no-line bifocal. However, I could get by with these indefinitely if I had to. They are that good. (BTW, I would probably choose a different frame color if I were buying these again, but that is a personal preference.)

Only had these for a few days, so don't know how they will stand up to wear. However, I have been extremely happy thus far:- These are a perfect solution to having to remember to carry reading glasses and constantly be switching backwards and forwards at work and home- My eyes always struggled to adjust to bifocals (my brain could never learn). However, the placement and size of the reading region of these seems to be perfect. I can read or work on the computer easily with no strain or difficulty in focus. When looking into the distance I am not distracted by the near focus area.- I was worried about both comfort and focus when working on a computer, but these seem to be fine.- I was impressed with how well they look for the price. I am happy to wear them in any occasion without looking goofy.

I've ordered/received (4) GOLD 1.50 eyeglasses within the past 2 weeks for work purposes. ALL (4) had defects of cracked/crushed glass on right lens, same area near nose cushion. For now, I WOULD NOT BUY ANY GOLD 1.50 EYEGLASSES UNTIL THE SELLER CORRECTS THIS FRAME ISSUE WITH THE CRACKED LENSES.However, thinking that the defects might be solely in the GOLD frames, I ORDERED 2 PAIRS OF BROWN 1.50 and THERE ARE NO DEFECTS WHAT SO EVER. Even though I'm not crazy with the BROWN color, THEY ARE EXCELLENT and I love the fit, clarity, frame, etc.I am in hopes that the SELLER will SEE THIS REVIEW as I don't know how to leave them feedback. If they correct the GOLD FRAME issue, I will definitely be buying 4-6 more pairs as I LOVE the GOLD color much better with my complexion.

After cataract surgery I no longer needed distance correction. These are pretty good for reading and walking around. Will get prescription progressive lenses in time; but for now this is a better solution than straight readers that I had to put on and take off every two minutes.

They are great, I will most likely be ordering more, - garage, car, rv, etc
