An easy way to make a normal digital camera, wireless
I have a Panasonic Lumix camera and needed to have the photos wirelessly transferred from my camera to my iPad. I purchased the MINI SD card ADAPTER, inserted the mini SD card (that I already owned) then inserted the wireless SD card adapter into the camera. I then downloaded the Ez Share app from the app store onto my iPad, opened the app>settings>allow push. I started taking pictures (in a low resolution) and watched the photos transfer to the Ez Share app in real-time within a few seconds (about 3 seconds). I then tapped on the photo just taken, which is automatically transferred to the Ez Share app, and moved it to my iPad camera roll and the process was complete. I can take a pic in low resolution and have it in my iPad camera roll in about 15 seconds, from the time the pic is taken to the time it's in my camera roll. It works great. So far I'm very pleased to be able to take a normal digital camera and make it wireless. The Q&A and owners manual are helpful but written in poor/choppy English so that makes it a little harder to follow along but for the most part the whole process is intuitive.

Don't waste your money
The app seems to be old as dirt and does not work with recent version of Android. You have to manually connect to the WiFi network created by the card (hint: the default WEP key is 88888888). Then you browse the card's contents and configure it from the browser. Except that Android detects that there's not Internet connection so even if you tell it to stay connected it will bypass the network entirely and use your mobile network instead, preventing you from accessing the card. You can work around this by putting your phone in Airplane mode and turning the WiFi back on, at least that way you can get the ezShare app to recognize the card, but the app is buggy and not very intuitive. I was able to navigate the directory tree on the card, but I could only get it to download one file at a time. If you select more than one file it either hangs indefinitely or crashes. Also, the "Auto Push" feature does not seem to do anything at all. I couldn't get it to work.As it is, it's just a worse interface for the functionality already built into my camera. What I had wanted was an EyeFi like experience. With an EyeFi Mobi card, once the card is paired with the app (you don't have to muck with WiFi settings yourself, the app does it for you) any pictures you take on the camera are synced automatically to your phone. As another reviewer mentioned, the microSD slot is a bit tight, so it can be a pain to remove it. And the instructions are mostly in Chinese, but if you're familiar with the technologies you can sort of skim through and pick out the important bits. I would not expect most of the photographers I know to be able to figure it out on their own.

Total junk, didn't work
I could not get this device to work. It would not broadcast a wifi network. I tried multiple microSD cards of varying capacities and multiple device. I started with plugging it into my computer via USB card reader and using my phone to check for the wifi hotspot. No wifi and no config file on the SD card, my understanding is this device creates a .cfg file on the root of the microSD which you can open to modify the wifi SSID, passcode, etc. The computer read the card fine, after formatting it several times using different file systems (exFAT, FAT, FAT32, and NTFS) I finally got the card to write a .cfg file when using Fat32 format. However the file was 0KB and contained no information. I also tried the card in several devices including my gopro, Nintendo 3DS, and WiiU. The 2 Nintendo's didn't even detect the card. The GoPro detected the SD card, I formatted it via the gopro but still no wifi. Also tested with a Canon point and shoot, same thing as GoPro.The microSD card is also extremely tight and difficult to insert and remove.Returning to Amazon for refund, stay away. Will try a Toshiba FlashAir

Great alternative to expensive wifi enabled SD's.
Good:1. much cheaper than buying standard wi-fi enabled sd cards. I bought several high capacity micro-sd cards, they easily pop in this adapter.2. Works just fine with my Nikon3 . Software works on latest iphone and IOS,4. Comes with instructionsBad:1 some people are reporting that thier cameras go into power save mode and shut off, interrupting file transfer. My camera has adjustable auto off settings. Just check your cameras auto off settings before you buy. (No fault of the product)2 software is not solely English and not exactly easy to use, however it still gets the job done without much hassle. I have only tested it on iphone, took me about 15 minutes to figure out/set-up.Bottom line: may not the most easy to use and set-up due to mobile app, but for most tech proficient, gets the job done. The most important benefit of this product over individual SD cards is the cost vs capacity. You can get much more memory for much cheaper. You only have to buy 1 adapter! If you aren't tech proficient, maybe you should probably avoid wifi sd cards/adapters all together. For those looking to save a buck on wifi enabled cards, this product is for you.

Nice inexpensive card
If your tired of removing the SD card or connecting a USB cable, then works well for transferring files to the Smart phone or PC. The Android phone app is smart enough to pop up a wifi change tab, and resets to your local wifi when the camera is turned off. The PC requires a manual opening of the hotspot, and manual change back to your local service. 4 meg JPG's transfer in a few seconds, also able to use with RAW. Overall, the price supports an easy transfer mode, and does't appear to be a power hog on the Canon SX-50

Easy!
It works nicely, though it chews up battery power. The newer version has a share/don't share switch so you can turn off the WiFi signal and save power. Don't forget to change the passwords!! It is easy to do so. I could not get the app to download from the manuf. site - timed out way before it was anywhere near to being complete. So far haven't needed the app.
