Locate the machine to the lower left corner of the workpiece first, then lower the cutter and the spindle must be turned on. Slow it down when the cutter is close to the workpiece, gently adjust it to the surface. 3. Important! After lowering the cutter, click "XY zero " and "Z zero". Then you can click "start" to engrave. 4. If DOOR alarm appears, please make sure to turn on the power switch on the motherboard . then please reconnect the motherboard. Tips: It is better to run the machine without any workpiece first. Test it before you start formal engraving. Notes: 1. This machine is NOT assembled. You will receive all the parts in the package and you need to assemble it yourself. 2. The best stuff: Arrived early, well packaged and no bits missing. Self assembly took a couple of hours. Plenty of help on youtube if you need it. I added some extra things to tidy the wiring up (which had to be extended) as per photo. The kit has an off line controller which is a bit fiddly but works although I would rather have paid £5 less to not have one. The controller has a good range of options for example limit switches, surface touch sense and is well made and works ok with software they recommend if you want to. I use the UGS free for raspberry pi.The down side. Let down by the noisy spindle motor and collet run-out. Communication would become disconnected from pc on spindle start or at high speeds so the machine was unusable. Z axis had 0.4mm backlash.Contacted the seller who reacted quickly at first and after several emails over a period of a month agreed a credit which allowed me to buy a decent motor and power supply. Once fitted, the results are much better than the less rigid, plastic machines. High feed and detailed movement can cause controller to disconnect from pc I noticed so definitely no more than 600 dpi or feed very slowly.
