This is a FANTASTIC head-torch. 1. The main beam is brilliantly bright (800 lumens it is claimed, about 50% brighter than a 50w halogen downlighter). 2. The entire kit is so lightweight you don't know you're wearing it. 3. It charges fast via USB and four pin-prick-sized lights reveal either battery life remaining or charging status. 4. An optional feature (i.e. it can be activated or not) allows a wave in front of the torch to turn the light on until another wave turns it off -- this is extremely useful when you only need bright light occasionally, like when checking you've picked up all of your dog's droppings and your hands are full with the lead in one hand and the bag in the other. 5. The headlight is on a hinge so the beam can be optimally directed to suit how you hold your head. 6. Best of all, despite all these features, it's available for under £10. Deserves 11 out of 10 stars.

Unfortunately it’s extremely dark where I live, no outside lights and very few street lights. Simply going out to the bins is difficult when dark, as I can’t see a thing. Or coming home with shopping at 5pm when it’s pitch black over the winter.I’ve got torches, but they aren’t helpful when you are carrying things.I’ve a very small head and it has an excellent elasticated strap which can be altered.It’s very easy to put on and light and comfortable and simple to use the buttons. Although, I do need to read the instructions to all the functions, but it’s not difficult, just click until you find the one you want.The strength of light is brilliant and has an excellent range too. I’ve had headlamps before, but the quality of this is far superior to them and any of my current torches.I used to buy them for my children to read in bed. It was good fun and they could also play games at night whilst wearing them and running about the house in the dark.This really is very impressive and great value. And would suit professionals too if working in the dark or runners at night etc.Definitely a worthwhile purchase for me due to the lack of outside lighting at home. I no longer need to worry about tripping up.And occasionally I nip next door to where my young daughter is buried. This will help me feel safer walking in the dark, keeping my hands free.

I bought this as a headlamp for running in complete darkness and find the bright spotlight option best for lighting the pavement, avoiding puddles and trip hazards. Appears to be robust and well-engineered. I find the option to set the angle of the beam works perfectly and holds its position during an hour run no trouble. The battery indicator has usually gone down from 4 to 3 on such a run, so the battery life seems good for hours.It is also rather very good as a light to read a (paper) book in bed and to do precise close up work.

Sorry to be a party pooper, but fully charged and would not switch on. Also noted that the head band was very small and required to be fully extended. It would definitely not fit on a climbing helmet. Returned, but happy to try a replacement. Edit:- Supplier replaced the head lamp and it worked perfectly. The problem with the undersized problem remains.

Let's face it, if you're doing a job with poor lighting then you end up with a torch in one hand and the tool in another and you just cant get enough light into the area you need. Also of course if you have a problem at night with your car....say you have a puncture and you cant see. This does the job - and it's high setting is VERY bright....but you can turn it down if its TOO bright. Charges from a USB - so no problems with changing batteries etc. There's several functions on it including a red flashing light so I guess you could use it on a bike too. The band fits easily round your forehead and there is a bracket on the fixture that allows you to tilt the lens too. Very impressed.

It is really light and the light setting are just great. the first setting is a strong beam which really helps if you are trying to look at something that is a bit far away, for example i used it to look at the corner wall of my room under the floor boards.The 3rd setting is a general bright glow, that it usefully for lighting up a close wide area. There is also a red and red flashing light although i don't tend to use it.The battery life is great, i have only need to charge it a hand full of time over since i bought it and i use it every weekend for a few hours each day. It charges with a micro usb cable which is great as they are easy to find.This is well worth the money

If you're looking for a fancy headtorch, then this isn't for you. It's lightweight, easy to use and wear. It's much better than its more expensive rivals in functionality. Great for jogging, walking the dog in the dark mornings and being able to scan the distance for roaming foxes or other dogs/people. Really like the wave on/off feature. I would highly recommend and buy again, although not yet tried to charge the battery so cannot comment on that. It appears to be waterproof also.

Ordered this on a whim when my old headtorch broke, this is just as bright, but a lot lighter. I use it most nights and it holds charge very well, it is very bright and has various modes. For the money, it is great!Knocked two stars off after 6 months - great for walking but if you are looking to run with it as I am, it’s not great, the pivot system has become very week and if I land too heavily it flops down - not ideal
