Norpro 1417R Grip-EZ Flexible Pancake Spatula Red, 33.5cm x 16cm x 13cm

Pix above show you this spatula’s (red one) size compared to a “regular” sized one we have. If you are looking for a normal sized spatula/turner then don’t grab this one. It is huge. It’s a great find and purchase for us!! Biggest one I’ve ever seen or used. Works GREAT for flipping a one pan German pancake. The edge is thin enough to easily get under and flip anything you are preparing. The handle is easy to hold because it is the same size as one you’ve always had in your kitchen. Seriously, buy one NOW.

This thing is the absolute BEST pancake flipper in existence!!

Flipping part is somewhat flimsy so must be careful with washing and storing it.

Overall I like this spatula. However, I have some complaints. I find that the body of the spatula is a little too flexible. It tends to bend under the weight of my pancakes. I will admit that I prefer to make rather large pancakes, but that is how I use the spatula. If I was making little 2-3" pancakes it probably wouldn't be a problem. Heat seems to exacerbate the bend. It will bend back to straight especially with some gentle persuasion, so it isn't the end of the world. My second complaint is more substantial. The connection points from the handle to the flipper are too long and not covered in nylon. I bought this to be used with my ceramic non-stick pans and I find it too easy to strike the pan with the metal of those connection points. I use it with caution and have not noticed any damage to my pans. These shortcomings do not make it a bad product. Overall, I like it, but especially those connection points could have been designed better and I would be a happier consumer.

I was skeptical when I first saw it, but I found by using it that it works very well. I usually make eight pancakes in a batch, and this flipper is helping me get under the pancakes better for more accurate flipping without tearing them. Heat resistance helps me not melt the flipper in use. I would buy it again.

I like the size but there are two issues that makes this a fail.1) The downward curve. When I'm trying to get eggs out of the pan, they keep falling off.and 2) Regardless of how much butter I use on the eggs, the eggs still stick to this spatula.If I didn't already through out the cardboard it came wrapped in, I'd return it. I wish the photos showed the downward curve. If they did, I never would have bought it because I already had one that had this failed feature,

The spatula was shipped in an envelope. It's fortunate that the piece is as study as it is - there was no damage thankfully. I now silicone is heat resistance and that it will be easy to clean. I marked the info as such, "assuming" it will follow suit. I'm just not happy with Amazon in the way that the product was shipped. I've found this to be the case in the last few orders I've placed. The seller can be happy that the product is still in good shape, but should complain as to how it is handled and shipped.
