Furniture Piece Set of Two Louisa Abaca Cushioned Seat Dining Chair

Chairs (4) arrived with one back broken, giving away slightly on one side. Very disappointing. The padded seats are a nice feature and added something to the aesthetic, but even the undamaged chairs were not sturdy. They are good looking chairs overall and worked well in our small dining area but unless you are a smaller person don’t buy these. The back frame is not a solid piece of wood (piece from top of back to the floor) so it wiggles. Concern was they would not hold larger guests and may pose a safety issue over time.Trying to return the chairs was a huge hassle. The seller offered to credit the broken one or send a replacement. We weren’t confident that a replacement would come in any better shape a second time, and the overall quality being so poor we wanted the chairs returned. But the seller required that we pay shipping to send them back. What a terrible way to do business. We called several carriers, the cost to ship them back was more than the chairs cost in the first place! The whole transaction was an awful experience. We would never buy furniture online again. It took 8 days of talking to the seller everyday as they tried to wear us down to keep the chairs, or pay to return them and physically take them to a carrier. We don’t have a vehicle big enough to fit them nor are we young so lifting the boxes to drop off at UPS or wherever, was not an option. Finally, they told us to keep the chairs and they issued a total credit adding up to just over half what we paid. Ended up with four chairs we can’t use and a bad taste for shopping furniture online. After 2 more weeks we were finally able to sell them but got less than we had paid. Not to mention the time and aggravation with not only the seller, but trying to sell the chairs to make up the $150 difference that we were out. At the end of the day we ended up losing $50.Since, we found beautiful rattan chairs at Macy’s, where we had great customer service and could try the chairs out before buying. Do that instead!

The chairs are lovely, and actually more comfortable then I thought they would be. I knew before I ordered that they wouldn't be as comfortable as an upholstered chair, and I also knew that they would not be the best to sit on if you are wearing fine fabrics just by virtue of the texture of the grass weave it will snag fabrics amd more then likely nice soft sweaters. What I didn't expect (and why I gave 4 stars not 5) was the mildew smell...seriously, its rather bad. I didn't contact the company I assume its a normal problem given the material the chairs are made of, and they just need to " air out". Its been over a week and it is getting better but I can still smell it, I've tried several things to take away the smell, the most effective was using pledge spay on it (idk if that's good for the chair or not, but I couldn't take the mold smell) and putting them outside all day. One of the legs in the back has a small split in the wood where it attaches but again I didn't contact the seller, it's an easy fix. Once the smell is 100% gone, I will be very happy with the chairs.

Unfortunately, while these chairs are very attractive, the method used to ship them causes the chairs to arrive with pieces of the cardboard/paper wrapping and shipping materials stuck to the chair itself and the legs. There are scuffs and dings on the chair legs and areas where the stain is missing. It would take a lot of effort to remove all the paper that has transferred to the chairs and I did try to remove it on one of the chair legs and while the paper is gone, there is a sticky residue that remains. The chairs are prettier than they are comfortable. Overall, I am disappointed with this purchase and will be returning them for a refund.

We have used 8 of these chairs for 2.5 years and they are falling apart. We have had to brace them continuously almost from the start. They still wiggle when anyone sits in them and feel flimsy and unsafe. I would not recommend them for a long-term investment.

Beautiful! Absolutely what I was looking for. Sturdy and excellent quality.

I have had these chairs for approximately 2 months..although they are attractive they are not suited for use. We are two adults, no children and the chair legs are loose and very unstable. Since it is past 30 days, the seller won't do anything about it. I am extremely disappointed in the quality as well as the seller. And I do not think they are worthy of one star but you must give them one in order to make a comment.

Wood not at all as described, much lighter than Mahogany and seagrass MUCH lighter than pictured. Customer Service is awful. Trying to charge $110 to return AND a 20% restocking fee...basically the full price of the set. Very disappointed but hoping Amazon Support will help.

I'm happy with these chairs. They will receive light use, and the quality is good for my purposes. I replaced the two end chairs at our table with these and they add a lot of interest to my dining room.
