This is my 3rd, use in my RC Cars and the ASC is amazing!!
This is the third one I own and have installed in a RC car. Two 1/10 buggies and an 1/8 scale DR buggie. The DX5C I have allows me to adjust the throttle and steering gain for AVC on the fly. This has been helpful in low traction conditions for sure as well as jumps. Line up straight - hit the throttle (the AVC keeps it straight) and throttle/brake to control attitude. Jumps are so much easier and I am finding that in my shaky hands, a game changer!! I also use with a 7yo boy and it helps him not crash my cars as often too!

Awesome receiver, need better instructions.
it’s an awesome receiver but the AVC feature is pointless. You can disable the AVC but the directions to do so are not that clear. Once you get this set up it’s incredible and won’t disappoint.

Dead on arrival
Like for so many others, the receiver I received never worked. Spektrum support has been very difficult to get a hold of. I'm returning it, and ordering a different receiver.

Bind Issue Updates & NOT for Nitro Telemetry
If this doesnt bind for you or binds and works fine until you turn the RX off, that is because the BATT connector is backwards. The RX will power on with the connector flipped around. I found this out when I had the "-" Negative and "S" Signal pins switched. The RX (6100AT) would power on and bind but as soon as I turned it off, it would lose bind and I would have to do it over again and again. I figured out I had it flipped and once I had the POS and NEG pins set correctly, it would bind and stay that way. So Just FYI.Now, this RX says it has telemetry. That is for electric vehicles I believe and not nitro. There is no place to connect multiple sensors, RPM/Temp, etc. to the RX and the TX just shows up blank when you go to telemetry. The only telemetry that works for this setup on nitro RC's is the vehicle battery, everything else is a no go. I emailed Horizon 2-3x and no response. If you want telemetry for nitro, I would look at Futaba but its going to be WAY more expensive as the sensors are like $50 each plus the RX.

receiver better be in a water tight seal box, so no dirt or water or dust can get into it.
Used it to put the Losi Mint 400 baja rey ford raptor back to par. This truck comes stripped of its original telemetry from horizon hobbbies, worked for a few runs. This receiver works if u dont put it any where around any suface rc that runs in the dirt or any where near a little water!! it is not sealed well or at all and as soon as any dirt gets into this receiver [ which happens instantly it starts weirding out ,the program/bind button quits working] No real way to seal it, just goes down hill in an rc short course truck even in a sealed receiver box.

Defective.
Something’s wrong with the one I ordered. The receiver stops binding and needs to re-bind constantly every time the car is turned on and off. Very annoying.
