This little gem is worth the price!
I have used about a dozen gimbal stabilizers over the years. Most are pretty effective at reducing the camera shake to the point where stabilization is just a given. The best I have ever used is the DJI Ronin S... but the thing is a beast, and it is a huge pain to travel with. My goal over the last 5 years is to try and find something as effective as the Ronin S, but is much easier to manage. The Hohem 3 in 1 stabilizer really checks quite a few of the boxes and shines compared to a lot of the competitors.Notes-- First off... it is very effective at reducing camera shake during videoing. Again, this is nearly a given, but it is important to state that it does do its intended job. If it sucks at stabilizing then nothing else matters.- Second... this thing is crazy light. I love it. I can mount my Sony ZV1 and the whole set-up is about the same weight as a Go-Pro on the Karma stick. You could film for 16 hours and not even feel it (good luck with that with the Ronin S).- The Hohem comes with a connection cable to interface directly with the Sony ZV1 . It mostly works fantastically... I am not a huge fan of having to double push record in order to video (I wish it was a separate button), but that is a pretty small gripe.- Balancing during set-up - not great.... but many others are worse. The thumbscrew for tightening is in an awkward space which makes it a bit difficult to tighten without bumping the camera off the balance point. Honestly, this is the worst critique I have for the Hohem stabilizer.- Great value. This fully operation gimbal stabilizer is about the same price as Sony's tripod grip. If you get the Hohem you will never use the Sony Tripod grip again.- Battery life seems to be great. I have filmed for over an hour without much battery drain (my Sony ZV1's battery was drained and this unit seemed to be at 75%).- I am not sure what the maximum sized camera you can use would be, but it works well with the ZV1. Obviously, a full-frame would be out of the question.... along with many of the MFT's that are out there (like the GH5).Final Verdict - A great option for vloggers and people that use smaller cameras for video

Excellent Budget Gimbal!
I have only used it a few times since purchasing it because I got it for a project in the summer, but it has been an excellent gimbal and I am glad I made the choice to add it to my camera gear.I have been using it with a Sony RX100 II mostly and the built in controls work great.I have used it lightly with an iPhone 6s but I have yet to try the app.I've never had a gimbal before and this was very easy to get started with, even balancing which a lot of people told me might be a challenge. The footage is stable and smooth, any pans or tilts are effortless, battery life is great, and it's easy to figure out the modes and controls after playing with it for a bit.Compared to others from bigger name competitors, this may not support larger cameras like they do, but the value is incredible if you use compact cameras like the Sony RX/ZV series, Canon GX line, or similar. Maybe even some really small mirrorless systems would work on it too with the right lenses.I was wary of spending such a big amount on a brand I'd never heard of but it's been a great experience and I'm glad I bought this gimbal!I think if you're a beginner looking for a first stabilizer, a vlogger that uses compact cameras or a phone, or just someone who wants to increase the quality and smoothness of home videos of your family or pets, this is a great option especially for the price.

A good decent gimbal except for ....
I have had several gimbals over the years for different purposes and different devices. I needed an extra on to main use with a Gopro 10 and a QooCam Ego 3D camera. This definitely works find in all modes, easy to balance and love the fact it has a trigger that allows you to reset the gimbal by clicking it twice. The only bad thing about this gimbal ( but not a deal breaker at all) is that you switch thru the different options by clicking on this small button on the gimbals panel. Each mode is represented by a single, double, triple or quadruple flash of a small LED. having to press this button to change the mode from 1 flash to 4 flashes is not a good way to do this. Other gimbals have a manual switch or even an LCD screen so you can see clearly which mode you are in such as POV, lock, follow etc. Aside from that, it connects to its app easily on my Google Pixel 6 Pro and works great for keeping thing level. For a low priced gimbal for a small device this is great and glad i purchased it.

Not worth the $150 price tag - Horrible Balancing
So I got this to be able to use my action camera and cell phone on a 3 axis gimbal.* So far I'm extremely disappointed. Balancing is a headache every time, it takes about 2 minutes for it to finally balance. When it does it'll constantly vibrate with the action camera. When it does that they say to move the camera back some. Well when you slide the quick slider back, then it hits the rotating arm and you are limited on movement.* Screws that come with it. DO NOT FIT ALL ACTION CAMERAS! Let me repeat that again, it DOES NOT FIT ALL ACTION CAMERAS. Now its a standard 1/4" 20 screw, so it will screw in, the issue is it has a 10mm shaft and that may fit in a GoPro, but NOT most action cameras that have a shorter shaft. There is a 2-3mm gap and it just spins on the plate. Solutions...use the phone mount (which never balances and not confident on its hold). Or I had to order some other locking screws which is not ideal. Do not claim it to work with all actions cameras when it doesnt without additional outside parts.* APP - Its hit and miss when it chooses to connect. Lets not mention the Gimbal will shut off after about 15 seconds sometimes and disconnect. Another headache.Honestly I was really excited about this, and its been nothing but a waste so far. I really want to this work, so im going to do some research to see if i can fix these issues. If not I'll be returning this for sure. Not gonna waste $150 on a no name brand with false promises.
