PERFECT companion to my 13" MacBook Pro (LOVE THIS MONITOR)
This monitor is the best purchase I have made since the shutdown began. I debated getting it from Apple but I went ahead and read the reviews and purchased this "refurbished" model. I put "refurbished" in quotes because I believe, as several other reviewers stated, that this is actually a BRAND NEW monitor. The delivery was next day, the unboxing was flawless — everything was as new as I have ever seen in an electronic device. I set the monitor up in minutes, it is the perfect size to accompany my 13" MacBook Pro. I love the fact that you just need ONE CORD to attach it to the laptop, which charges it as well as sync's it to the computer. The resolution is amazing. Beautiful. Exactly what you are already used to on your laptop. Worth the extra splurge for a higher resolution retina monitor -- but I do not think I am missing out at all from the newest ones. I prefer this design over what they have currently in the Apple Store. It is clean and super streamlined - which I like. Simple lines. The monitor goes up and down a few inches as needed - smooth as silk. It has at least 4 additional USB-C ports in the back. NO NEED FOR CLUNKY ADAPTORS. Also - I debated another, larger size. This is more than perfect. As a matter of fact, sometimes I am working and I just play a movie full screen on this and work while I watch — perfection. I would not want a larger monitor on my desk area, it would be too large and overwhelming (and unnecessary).Did I say I love this monitor?

Excellent picture & sound as well
I have only had this "refurbished" unit about 2 hours. If it doesn't fail now or right after it's 90 warranty, I will be thrilled with this purchase. There seems to be two ads for this item. One that was $20 more mentioned speakers so I thought this one wouldn't have them. It does and they are remarkably good if you like quality sound from a computer without adding external speakers. I use Boom2 an equalizer program but I am not sure it is even needed. Picture quality can't be beat and well worth the extra money if that is important to you. Stand is solid and the unit is pretty heavy for a small size flat screen. That may just be the speaker coils. The screen is NOT anti-glare. That is perfect if you prefer crisp sharp pictures. If it lasts, it is one of my best purchases. Of course it came with no manual and no visible way to set color, contrast. etc.

Like macbook retina display
I bought mine from Invictus Globe, and I have to say, this monitor is either brand new, or it has not been used at all. Monitor itself and its packaging do not show even a slight sign of use.Second, the resolution of the display is very very good. I used to have 21 inch (older model) ultrafine and it has higher ppi (~218) and it was just great. This model has a slightly lower ppi (186), however it's glossy display quality is still very good, almost like macbook's retina. Its larger so naturally you sit leaving a little more distance you'd leave for macbook (or 21 inch older model monitor); and with that there is no way to tell there is a pixel in this display. Just great.Third, the resolution options: I am using either "looks like 2560x1440" or 2304x1296", which gives you more space than the default for display (1920x1080). The resolution is still very crisp, and retina-like (or almost retina) while I can fit more into the display size. And lastly, there is an ambient sensor on the monitor which works (at least with my Big Sur) when the laptop's lid is closed (clamshell mode). However, true tone can only work when the lid is open, but this is due to how macbook manages tru tone with its own camera, not because of the monitor (you can manual adjust nightshift to get a similar effect though).Overall this is the best retina like monitor for macbooks, and as long as renewed works out (in my case I got an almost or just brand new) it is the best deal out there.

Stunning Monitor
I am using this monitor with my new 2019 Mac Pro. I have replaced the stock Pro 580X MPX module with an Aorus RW57000XT. With the removal of the Apple module, I also removed my Mac's Thunderbolt capability. Because this monitor only has TB3 input I needed a special BiDirectional cable to utilize the DisplayPort on my Aorus GPU. The cable worked, but I lost my boot screen. This new display is replacing the LG 24UD58-B 24-Inch 4K UHD IPS Monitor After owning it for three weeks, It's going back. Over time I became aware off it's serious flaws. Initially It was better than my previous HP HD. But as I became more critical, the picture was washed out with very poor contrast. Very dim. Small type was hard to read. This monitor on the other hand has no such flaws, and Amazon has a smokin' deal on it right now. The listing says renewed, but I don't believe it. I believe it's brand new without the LG warranty. The display as absolutely gorgeous! It's sharp, bright and clear. Excellent contrast and small type is now sharp and clear. This LG Mac monitor is stunning. I guess it's true - you get what you pay for.The reason for the One Star downgrade is the lack of a DisplayPort or HDMI Input. It really should have one or the other, but I guess Apple has made it a condition for its endorsement that it only have USB C or BT3. Also the LG control software "LG Screen Manager" doesn't work in MacOS Catalina.

Display is gorgeous - like a 24" Retina Display
I very rarely write reviews - but this display is gorgeous. I run at "default" on my Mac (1920x1080), and it's like having a 24" Retina display. Absolutely lovely. Also, the monitor controls (brightness, contrast, etc) are done through System Preferences on the Mac, like the laptop display. Sleep/resume works great, as well as the built-in usb hub. My Dell 38" widescreen had constant issues with that, drove me crazy. Now I have my 1 cable connection and works great. I'm much happier. (I had to move to a smaller screen).I bought the refurb, and it is like new. Very, very happy with this monitor. LG did a great job. The Amazon refurb
