Giro Section Bike/Multi-Sport Helmet

Fantastic helmets!!! Purchased one for my 11 year old and one for my four year old. Both are small. But with the optional pads they give, both fit wonderfully. They are light weight, thick, strong and pretty! I've purchase many 20$ walmart and target bell brands and similar ant this is so much better . Kids love them and I feel they are safer in these than anything they've worn before!

I got this helmet as a replacement for a 'one size fits all' helmet that has an adjustable plastic strap. This helmet was a major improvement because it comes in different sizes, so it fits snuggly on my head. The cons of this helmet are both the price and the fact that you have to choose the correct size. This helmet is slightly more expensive than what I think it is worth, which is why I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Furthermore, you have to choose the correct size, which can be difficult. Although I have a helmet that is the right size and it fits extremely well - much better than the adjustable one size fits all. Now for the things I like about the helmet. I am a big fan of the nice, smooth matte look that the helmet has. I was never a fan of the shiny "racing" helmets for casual riding, but this helmet is stylish and fits well. Additionally, it seems well built and sturdy so I would definitely trust this helmet to protect me if I crashed.

Great helmet. The helmet is deceptively lightweight but makes me feel safe and protected when riding. I used some of the extra foam in the package to add cushion because the helmet was a bit too loose. Helmet is well ventilated and only give me helmet hair after heavy riding. I like the color (gunmetal) and the matte finish really looks crisp. I'm amazed how few people wear helmets these days. Reasons may be: gives helmet hair, hot and sweaty (low ventilation), or that it looks "uncool". Well, this helmet (made by a great brand) solves all those problems so you can protect your noggin. This helmet is just what I was expecting! The color matches exactly what was shown on Amazon.com and the quality is fantastic! Sizing is perfect and this fits snugly on my head. Not to mention, it doesn't look like the other non-flattering helmets I might have chosen. Previous reviews mention that it makes your head look huge, but I disagree. It's a helmet, it's supposed to protect your head and should be somewhat bulky. This is a little bulky, but definitely doesn't look bad when it's on. All in all, this is a great helmet and will definitely be purhasing more Giro brand helmets in the future.

Very comfortable and I love the design. I think it's supposed to be a girl's design? But I'm a dude and I don't really care - it looks sweet. The only complaint I have is that the helmet is a bit thick and makes my already large head look even larger. That aside - great ventilation,and I feel very protected in it. You can find printable head measuring things on Giro's website and if you find that you're right on the border of 2 sizes get the larger one and use the thicker foam pads that are supplied. Much comfier that way!

Overall I really like the helmet, I purchased it for commuting and did not want a conventional road/road bike race helmet. I think the Protec helmets look better being lower profile but the quality of this helmet is much higher and it is super light. I would also imagine the thickness of this helmet is a major factor in its safety benefits. I would reccomend it to anyone who wants something a little more skate, extreme, messenger bike, etc. then the conventional offerings while still offering an exceptional level of protection. (have not tested the protection part personally.)

Neat helmet! As a guy who didn't wear helmets because they looked goofy, this one is a nice balance. Muted color, BMX styling. BTW, it is ENORMOUS. It looks very large on my head, and I have a large head. That being said, the style works and I feel much safer riding at 30+MPH, this helmet covers the back of your head and feels well constructed.

I did not like this helmet (Giro Section Bike/Multi-Sport Helmet, Brown Leather, Medium) at all! Using the sizing guidelines on the manufacturer's website, I decided that the medium size was right for me. Upon receipt of the helmet, I was severely disappointed because the helmet was so ugly. In addition to the poor aesthetics from a materials perspective, the helmet fit poorly, was uncomfortable, and looked like I had an enormous piece of plastic on my head due to its extremely bulky size. This helmet was the exact opposite of what I wanted, so I returned the helmet to the seller and decided to resume my search for an attractive helmet that was comfortable and had a slim-ish looking fit. I eventually settled on the Nutcase Chocolate Milk Matte Bike Helmet, and the difference in quality was enormous. If you are looking for an attractive helmet that is comfortable and long-lasting, I would definitely recommend the Nutcase over this hunk of garbage. Stay safe!
