This replaced a 1980s model valve
This isn't identical to original diaphragms replaced discontinued valve and maker price for same part is triple . It has no metal for its match but fits in nicely and functions without any problems I got to continue using my installed system but looking into more available units to find replacements locally and available now. I had to wait 4 days and hand watering isn't my thing .

Perfect fit!
Was pretty sure that that my leaky valve issue was just a bad diaphragm but weathermatic is not commonly found locally and then this was an older model silver bullet valve that they don’t make anymore. Could only find it online at irrigation supply companies who wanted to charge at least twice as much and would take a week to ship. This was exact part. Good process and had it in a couple days

Seems to work with 1980-vintage Weathermatic
"Never trust 20-yr-old rubber." One of my original 1980s-vintage valves gave up after 44 years. They just don't make 'em like they used to. ... and that's the problem - where to find parts? This part is currently working in the 1980 Weathermatic precursor to the "Silver Bullet" valve series. It doesn't quite look like the 1980s model, but it fits where it counts, and the solenoid actuates it. For 3 weeks now, 3x per week (it's summer.) This was a lot cheaper than hiring someone to dig up the valve.

Just as described, We will see how long it lasts. The last one I got only lasted approximately six months was not from this seller though. Hopefully the seller product does better
