Gaiam Yoga Mat Towel, Non-Slip Microfiber, Hot Yoga (Folkstone Grey)

Super absorbent mat great for hot yoga! Does slip a little bit.

Great towel. Highly recommend. I didn't know why I had to bring a towel until I went to HOT yoga and my mat became a slip and slide. This stays put pretty well and a nice shade of purple. Fits a traditional size yoga mat perfectly. Washes up good, no lingering stink.

I do yoga on my back porch and Florida summers are brutal no matter how early in the morning it is. I was always slipping and sliding on my mat. This towel is the solution! It's soft, comfortable and super absorbent. From the other reviews, yes it does not always stay in place. I expected this might be an issue when I first purchased it but it hasn't bothered me that much. It has made a huge difference in my yoga routine. So glad I bought it!

Wet or dry there’s zero grip with this towel. It bunches up and slides around. Had to purchase other mats that have silicone dots on the bottom - they work great.

I love hot yoga and wanted something to absorb the extra sweat that comes with it. I give this towel and 4 out of 5. Absorbency wise, it does the job well! While also not being too thick. Friction wise, if the hot yoga class isn’t making you sweat quite enough, I find the towel to be too slippery compared to my mat itself. Truly, the down side to a “soft” towel. My takeaway More sweat = productive towel Less sweat = nuisance and distraction towards the practice I highly recommend using it for only those extra sweaty classes!

I saw the reviews that say it works if you sweat enough but I decided to try it anyway. Believe them! This Gaiam mat towel doesn't grip the mat at all, so wet or dry it moves around a lot when changing poses. I've tried it in Bikram and Vinyasa classes, found it unworkable either way. It moves around too much and slips and slides too much for me to trust in simple poses. I've been loyal to 2 Manduka Yogitoes for 10+ years. Washing 5x/week they still look good as new! We'll worth the investment in my opinion. They grip the mat well no matter what. Sometimes in the less sweaty beginning of practice theres a slight slip factor (my hands can slip a bit in downward dog, the towel doesn't move). This is easily handled with a spritz before practice if you're less stable on your hands, but I'm often not bothered by it. I wouldn't recommend the Gaiam towel though

I really like this towel. I use it very often, and even after being washed dozens of times, it has maintained its quality and soft feel. If you spray your mat with a little water before laying down the towel, it stays in place for your entire practice. It is also absorbent, but doesn't get sopping wet throughout hot yoga.

Bought one for my mat for my hot Pilates classes. Mine was a hit so my friend bought one too!

A great mat which is ideal for hot yoga. Fantastic quality.

Aborbs sweat, dries quick, lightweight, mellow colour. Fair value/price. I Recommend.

Muy buen material. Bastante absorbente para una clase de 90 min de Bikram Yoga. No te resbalas ni pierde su textura. No almacena olores. Se seca muy rápido.

Bought for wife for yoga. She prefers this one compared to name brand.

Perfect for covering over an exercise mat. Absorbs sweat and does not slip. Gives an extra layer when lying down on your mat. Makes a great gift too.
