I first found these at a campground store and they work well so I bought the tub on Amazon. They stay lit for quite a while which allows you to get a fire going after you chop some thin splits from the usual larger stuff in a campground firewood bundle.

I’ve used many fire starting products over the years and this one is absolutely the best. It burns with a large flame so that all you need to us stack your firewood in a tight criss cross pattern and put the cup under the stacked wood. Light it and you’re done. No more lighter fluid or restarting due to lack of enough flame. You’ll love this product and it’s worth the money.

While not strictly necessary if you have super thin kindling, they work great if all you have is the bundle of wood you purchased at the campground. I’m seeing them in some camp stores being sold individually, but I like to just throw in a handful before leaving home. Also works great getting your Solo firepit going quickly.
