This book is great! The recipes are very simple and straight forward. Love the fact that it has so many different versions of classic cocktails making it exciting to use. The book is very esthetically pleasing with its colorful pages and how they unfold to reveal the different cocktails. Definitely would recommend.

Entertaining to read, even more fun to use. The recipes are classic, but I found the twists and spin-offs to be even more rewarding. I can whole heartedly recommend this book - Full Disclosure I worked at Wine Enthusiast, which is where I first met Kara.

I love the riffs on classic drinks. Due to the design where there are several variations of each beverage on fold out pages, the book does not stay open well on any particular page. Weighing it down works, but ruins the esthetic somewhat.

My wife loves this cocktail book. It gives you the basic recipe and then several options to change each one up.Smart and well put together book.

the item arrived damaged. even if the content is interesting, it was a presentable gift. I am really disappointed with the preparation of the package which put under cover a damaged package.

As promised, this book presents lots of great cocktail recipes, grouped in ways that will totally turn you on to new cocktails you'll want to try!The way the book is organized is key to both its usefulness and its charm--the page for each "classic" cocktail and its recipe (21 of them) folds out to reveal similar cocktails (120 of them)--so it's easy to browse through the classics, and it's also easy to dive deeper into that classic by looking at what's in the fold-out. I like martinis, for example--but who knew that, as the fold-out suggests, I might also like a Tuxedo, a cocktail I'd never heard of? Also, just browsing the classics I could see that, since I like daquiris, I might also like a Tom Collins or a Gimlet since they're sort of similarly boozy + citrusy--which I never knew because I've never looked at a recipe for either. Why? Because the cocktail books I have are encyclopedic, and while it's useful to have hundreds of recipes at my fingertips, it's not really conducive to browsing and discovering which ones I might want to make.If you like cocktails, and you like discovering new things, and you like tips and ideas from a knowledgeable expert--or you know someone who does--get this book. It's wonderful.
