Pocket-Sized, Surprisingly Capable, and Now a Permanent Resident in My Travel Bag
I’ve owned quite a few electric razors over the years, and like many people, my benchmark has always been the Panasonic ARC5—the heavyweight champion of electric shaving. If you’re curious, here’s the one I’m referring to: https://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-Electric-ES-LV65-S-Flexible-Pivoting/dp/B00JWP8F3I/ref=sr_1_6?sr=8-6 The ARC5 delivers an incredible shave…but let’s be honest—it also takes up a decent chunk of space. It’s more of a countertop appliance than something you casually toss into a pocket. Then there’s the Braun MobileShave M-60b. The first thing that surprised me wasn’t how well it shaved. It was how unbelievably tiny it is. Pictures online really don’t prepare you for the size. In person it’s shockingly compact—roughly smaller than a Coke can, incredibly thin, and I’d estimate it’s around 60% smaller than my Panasonic ARC5. The first time I held it I actually laughed because it looked like someone had accidentally shrunk an electric razor in the wash. That tiny size is exactly what makes it brilliant. This isn’t trying to replace your premium bathroom shaver. It’s trying to solve a different problem. Business trip? Throw it in your laptop bag. Weekend getaway? Fits in any toiletry kit. Keep one in your desk drawer? Easy. Glove compartment? No problem. I’ve even considered leaving one permanently in my carry-on because it occupies almost no space whatsoever. The protective cap is another feature I appreciate. It completely covers the foil head, so I never worry about damaging it while it’s bouncing around in a backpack or suitcase. That’s something many travel gadgets forget. Power is refreshingly simple. It runs on two AA batteries, meaning there’s no charger to pack, no proprietary cable to lose, and no panic when you realize you forgot to charge it before leaving home. If the batteries die, any convenience store, airport kiosk, or gas station can get you back in business within minutes. As for the shave itself? Considering its size, I was genuinely impressed. No, it isn’t intended to outperform a full-size premium razor costing several times as much. That would be an unfair comparison. But for touch-ups, daily maintenance, travel, or cleaning up before a meeting, it performs far better than I expected. It handled a day’s worth of stubble comfortably without pulling or excessive irritation. I also appreciate Braun’s straightforward design philosophy. No flashy LED displays. No Bluetooth. No companion app telling me how badly I shave (because apparently everything needs an app now). Just flip the switch and shave. Sometimes simple wins. The build quality also feels reassuringly solid. Despite being lightweight, it doesn’t come across as cheap or disposable. It feels like one of those gadgets you’ll own for years because there’s simply very little to go wrong. If you already own a premium electric razor like the Panasonic ARC5, don’t think of this as a replacement. Think of it as the perfect sidekick. The ARC5 stays home. The Braun MobileShave goes everywhere else. After using it, I honestly can’t imagine traveling without it anymore. It solves a problem I didn’t realize I had until now, and it does so while taking up barely any room in my bag. For frequent travelers, commuters, office workers, or anyone who likes looking presentable without hauling around a full-size shaver, this little guy earns an easy five stars.

Have the right expectations and this is a good deal
I have gone back and forth on electric razors for years between wanting one and backing off because of some review I saw. I like how close a regular razor works, and would even do a straight blade if I had the patience or the time, but when I saw this and how cheap it was, figured it was worth a try and I have been pleasantly surprised. A lot of the reviews out there are not setting the proper expectations for this product. It is a TRAVEL electric razor, not some high dollar 7 or 9 series Braun (at the time of writing this, they are pretty universally considered the industries best/standard). What can you expect when people compare a $17 razor to a $200+ razor? So with the right expectations, here are some things to note that I like and don't like (and a few comments): 1) It runs on AA batteries. Nothing worse than going on a trip and thinking "nah, I can avoid bringing the charging cable" only to have the built in battery die on you 3 days into the your 7 day trip. With this, pop into the hotel gift shop and grab a set of AA's and you're back in business. 2) This is an electric razor....DO NOT press it hard into your skin! Not only will you wear out the blades and guard, but you risk the razor cutting you. You glide it over your skin so the hairs can go in the guard and be cut by the blade. 3) The built in rotating cover and brush are handy so everything is in one unit while traveling. 4) For $17 (price when I bought it), while traveling if I need to cut weight for my bag or it breaks or it gets lost or forgotten, its not the end of the world. Yeah, it is annoying but I'm not going to let $17 affect my mood or ruin a trip. Taking my family to McDonald's for dinner costs more than that! Skip a meal or 2 like that and eat at your hotel/home and you can buy a replacement with the savings. 5) Don't expect this to be high dollar quality. It will last you awhile but if you use it daily for 6 months or more, you got your value out of it and go buy another one. The replacement blades and cleaning cartridges for the high end Brauns will cost you upwards of $60 a year or more on top of the $200 price tag of the unit...You could get 3 of these travel models for the cost of the maintenance of the 7 series in 12-18 months. And if one of these lasts you 6+ months...3 will last you 18+ months so you just saved yourself the $200 initiation fee to be in the 7 series club and still have an OK shave. 6) It does an OK job for a shave but you can't have a lot of growth so it is a daily use kind of a razor. If I miss a day, its easier to get back to the electric razor routine after using shaving cream and a manual razor for a day. My expectations were accurate for traveling and the convenience of being able to shave while I am going about my business with kids, work, etc which helps me get a few minutes more of sleep at night on those rough days. Not for a daily use product expecting an excellent smooth shave. If that's what you want, my bet is an electric razor is not for you. Remember to have the right expectations for the product and this turns out to be a good deal.

Get's job done for it's purpose
Background: I bought this along with Panasonic ES-LT41-K Men's 3-Blade (Arc 3) Wet/Dry Rechargeable Electric Shaver with Nanotech Blades, Black/Silver so I don't have strong comparison. In the beginning I liked the BRAUN POCKET SHAVER,2xAA,CAP - WASHABLE, M60B little more because I felt it was cutting the hair much more closer. After 5 months of on and off use along with the Panasonic ES-LT41-K, I began to use lot less. Positive: + small & compact --> great for travel use + uses 2 AA battery, easy to replace. + gives very close shave + water proof Negative: - because it uses 2 AA, power isn't so great but it didn't bother me too much - perhaps shaves little too close Experience: In the beginning I liked the feeling of shaving very closely, but later I did not like so much because I have sensitive skin. Even after decent use it appears that I am getting "burns" with this razor, or that I am cutting too short than I should. I've use it in dry and wet condition. It works just fine in dry shave, although takes little longer and not as neat & clean. I shaved in shower with it and had no problem with water proof. Wet shave (also used shaving gel) gave much more clean shave. Conclusion: Never the less it doesn't come close to the great feeling I got as using the Panasonic ES-LT41-K. However, this is unfair comparison because Braun M60B is intended as travel shaver. And as a travel shaver, it performs its function as intended and I have no complaints. Just don't expect shaving experience from more expensive and high performing shaver or razor.

My Third one! Great item for a quick and easy clean shave!
The Braun Electric Razor has served me extremely well! This lightweight mobile razer uses 2 double A batteries, but those batteries last a LONG time. Additionally, it comes with a hidden brush for easy cleaning and folds up to be put away easily. After 3 of these razers, I've finally left a review, but I am extremely happy with the quality and usage for price. Keep in mind, this being my third, doesn't mean it didn't last. My previous two were lost while moving, so I had to replace it, and no other mobile razer works quiet like these. But I would say, each one lasted about 5-6 years before being lost. The Braun mobile electric razer is definitely a perfect product for the price and I would highly recommend anyone who needs clean shaves and shaves frequently.

Can shave anywhere without water
This razor is of good quality. Easy to turn on/off, easy to clean, and easy to replace batteries. I really like the batteries rather than rechargeable. Some 1-star reviews say that it doesn't shave well. I know what they mean, but you have to learn to use this razor. This razor will not shave a beard or long whiskers easily. It's made to cut short whiskers that are standing up and waiting to be cut. Do this: - move the razor slowly - do not press the razor into your skin - glide the razor gently so as not to bend the whiskers down - listen for it cutting the whiskers Pros of using this razor: - your hands will stay dry - your face will stay dry - you can shave at your desk or anywhere - you will not cut yourself - it's fun Cons of using this razor: - the batteries might run out while you're shaving - it might take longer than shaving with a blade - it's not silent like shaving with a blade - difficult to shave a clean edge like you can with a blade

Perhaps the Best Compact Portable Electric Shaver
UPDATE - 12/06/23 - I had to ditch this shaver and upgraded to the Braun Series 7 7020s. The main issue was that this shaver couldn't effectively trim the hairs under my chin. Despite trying different angles and paces, I could still feel the stubble when I ran my hands over it. I should have spent more and gotten the 7 series in the first place. Lesson learned. I would say this is the best shaver I've ever had for on-the-go or traveling purposes. It's waterproof, so you can even use it in the shower. The only flaw I can mention is that you'll probably need to use it regularly; otherwise, it won't effectively shave off 3mm hair after a couple of days of no shaving. It comes with a small brush that you can tuck away at the bottom of the device for easy travel. The top portion is easy to remove for cleaning, but I recommend being gentle with it, as the inner blade can pop out. However, even if they do, it's easy to put them back in place. You might have a hard time shaving off any hair above 1mm with this device, so it's a good idea to have a razor blade nearby in case you need to get that one strand of hair that is sticking out like a sore thumb. The device doesn't come with a battery and will require 2 AA batteries. I received it this way due to TSA or airline restrictions on lithium batteries. You can always purchase AA batteries from any country if needed. There's a locking mechanism on this device, so the device won't turn on by itself, and even if it did, there's a cover for the blade. Overall, a good shaver, in my opinion.

Terrificp shaver.
I grow medium weight facial hair. This saver has no problem with removing it cleanly. I own more than one of these. They are handy for quick shaves on the move. 2 batteries last dozens of shaves. One in the bathroom, one in the car, another in the briefcase.

Good for all usage!
As a buyer of several products ranging from US$10 - US$50 of different kind of shavers, i am quite skeptical of most shavers below US$50 as most of it either nicks or cause redness/irritation. After trying this out for the first time, i am honestly quite impressed! I used it for my chin, then i proceeded to try on my underarm, and also my private areas. Overall, it is fantastic! Although i must say, before you use this product, ensure your body hair are trimmed. This item dont work well with long hair.
