TURTLE TREATS FOR A VALUE PRICE AND QUANTITY!
My 13-year-old box turtle, Wonder Woman, loves to gobble these tiny dried shrimp. They provide the protein and calcium she needs to keep her shell and body healthy. I used to buy Wardley's Turtle Treats, but they were discontinued and I have searched for a replacement. These come in a huge 24-ounce zip lock bag and will last her for over a year. Turtles can live up to 30 years and require tender loving care to thrive. I am happy to provide her with a quality brand of her favorite meal that is a super value in price, quantity, and nurturing food.

Turtle food
An array of sizes. My turtles liked the smaller ones better cause they are small but eventually they ripped them to pieces

I think my turtle would fight the sun for these
My turtle absolutely loses her mind over these. She will blindly run over fish in her desperate attempt to get at this food. They are far and away her favorite food. They have a pretty powerful fishy smell when you open the bag, but otherwise seem to have a very long shelf life and is a quality (supplemental) food source for aquatic turtles.

huge bag, best bang for your buck!
my turtles love this stuff and i didn't even pay attention to the size of the bag, but this big ol boy came and I couldn't believe it 😂 the price we pay at pet stores and wallymart is just insane. This is a great deal and im so glad i stumbled upon this!!! my turtles are pretty stoked also. 😉

Smells strong, Turtles enjoy it
Wowsers this smells badly but the ziplock helps. I was hoping for bigger pieces because we hand feed our turtles at our pond. They're a snack! We got a 5 gallon bucket and lid for turtle food and shrimp snacks. They definitely have an odor.

Fluker's river shrimp-never enough for my crew!
My 30 yr. old aquatics, a painted and a red ear both enjoy these added into their weekly rotation . I only recently began feeding them shrimp more regularly, and their enthusiasm for the shrimp is unreal! I know they don't really have expressions, but they do express by their actions and reactions to what goes in the tank. It delights them to crunch away on something nutritionally good for them, and yes the crunch is audible! 12 oz. bag lasts a good long while feeding 2 very mature and active aquatics, and not a whole lot of money to offer my guys this kind of variety. Of course it's got a smell, it's dried shrimp. It's not overwhelming, just noticable, is this a big deal? Certainly not IMO , to be expected . As in feeding dried shrimp or dried insects there's always going to be "debris," broken powdery parts in the bag, just like crumbs from cookies, I make the extra effort to glove up, use a strainer and remove the shrimp dust. In the scheme of things it is a small amount to deal with and no way around it, the nature of the natural feed you are using. I'm happy in all aspects of using this feed for my guys, and delight in knowing it's one more nutritious item, aside from other pellets and acceptable human foods they get. They're both 30+ yrs. old, in great shape and very enthusiastic for their shrimps! Great convenience to have for them, and yes very recommended!

Quality control?!
UPDATE: I initially gave it 2 stars for the reasons listed below but I feel the need to give it 1 star after I’ve used the whole bag. Quality control is non existent, as if the sharp shrimp stabbing my hand and making me bleed wasn’t bad enough, this bag contains more than just shrimp which is not what the product is supposed to contain. In the bag I received I found freeze dried feeder fish, pill bugs, and other insects I could not recognize. HOWEVER of all the things I found the worst was a fragment of a seashell... I still don’t understand HOW that got in the bag. First, I will say that this is a good amount of shrimp for the price. However, a lot of the shrimp have REALLY sharp points on them. I don’t know if it hurts my turtles in any way but I don’t feel too comfortable feeding it to them since these shrimp have stabbed my hand a couple of times, In some cases deep enough to make my hand bleed. I’ve never had this issue before with other brands when buying shrimp for my pets and it surprises me for this brand given that I’ve been buying turtle food from them for years.
