Can you use any T-shirt or does it have to be a special cricut one?

It does not have to be a cricut product but it works well with polyester. You can even use the 50% polyester/50% cotton.

Can it be use in 100% cotton bags?

It will fade if the bags are washed & the colors will be less vibrant if applied to cotton.

Can you layer these sheets?

You can layer dark colors over light colors. Layering light on top of dark will NOT show up though.
