OPI Hello Kitty Limited Edition, Let's Be Friends! Nail Polish, 15ml

The one I received was an individual nail varnish (without box) in a cotton candy shade. I purchased this for my daughter but have trailed it out for the review. Firstly I’d say I’m used to Nails Inc which is what I can compare this one too. No it’s not on par with nails inc but it’s not the same price either. This is more in line with other high street nail varnishes on the market. The colour is probably more accurate described as white with a hint of pink. It’s really hard to not get white nail varnish streaky, and this one was no exception. Does come lovely and thick where you could probably get away with one coat however I feel, like most white polish, you need a second coat to try and avoid streaks. This had a tiny bit of streaking but nothing obvious as soon as I pulled for fingers away from my face. I’ve had it on 3 days now and yes it’s starting to chip, but that’s after 3 showers, wrapping presents, house jobs and driving so I’d say I’m happy with it’s longevity. Has hello kitty prints around the top of the bottle, so would make a nice stocking filler for children interested in that. This certainly isn’t a child’s traditional nail polish that peals off, so would allow a young person to feel nice and grown up. If comparing this to high street brands I wonder if it’s a touch pricey, however I expect that is to do with the hello kitty brand more than anything. Overall a nice little product.

I usually love OPI products but I was a little disappointed with this one. The "limited edition" is some plastic wrap on the cap. I nearly unwrapped it by mistake when I first opened the bottle.I found the application somewhat streaky after one coat, though the appearance improved after two. The final result was glossy even without topcoat, which was good, it dried very quickly and removed without any staining. Because it is such a sharp ice pink shade (good winter colour) you have to be careful with your application as any mistakes or wobbles stand out. I also think the shade highlights any flaws in your nails or cuticles as well.Overall - an okay from me, a shade for after I've spent time on my nails, not one to apply in a rush.

ok, i know my nail varnishes (man alert!), and know opi is usually top quality produce. however this limited edition 'hello kitty' laquer in a shade akin to an insipid strawberry milkshake.....aint! the coverage is really poor, patchy at best - i applied 3 coats before giving up, disappointed with the results. my wife (ok, i'm a man who suffers from discolouration on my left big toe, so to save looking at the ugliness, i varnish it. i'm also a loose cannon and think it's cool) also tried it with similar results, as did my daughter - a real varnishfest!i will say it's not really my colour, but the female elements of the household were keen on it before the collective disappointment. i will also say that we agreed that this dip in quality was uncharacteristic of a usually high grade product. it would be a pity if the other colours in the series were similarly poor in performance.

Although this is called Hello Kitty Christmas collection it can be used by adults and at any time of the year! It is a very pale pink, even paler than it looks in the product page photo, but is glossy and classy looking on its own or used with others to create your own style. OPI is not the cheapest nail polish around but is good quality, a generous sized bottle and I find it is not overpowering in smell when being applied, it goes on smoothly and dries quickly and lasts well with minimal chipping. Worth paying a bit extra for.

As with all OPI nail polishes, this is very good quality and my mum said it provided good coverage. For her the colour was not to her taste being a little on the light side, but we agreed that this particular product is really aimed at the younger market where the colour (a very very light pink) would be appropriate. Mum wears quite a few nail polishes from this brand and although they are not the cheapest you can buy, she says you are rewarded for the extra expense with a longer lasting nail colour which is not as prone to chipping as much as the cheaper ones are. We decided we would give this to my 10 year old niece as she is just beginning to experiment with nail polish and makeup and the subtle colour of this polish is perfect.

A superb quality nail varnish that covers efficiently in non coat. This mild pink is modest but also in keeping with the Hello Kitty theme and ideal for anyone who wants to dress to that theme. However, this is a great colour for anyone who wants a subtle pink and isn't remotely a Hello Kitty fan (or doesn't even know what it is!) When you have a daughter who is going to Japan this year though, it is absolutely ideal!OPI are consistent throughout their colour range, delivering a really outstanding finish and setting the standard to which other manufacturers have to try and attain. A great colour and a fabulous finish every time!

The nail polish has the right consistency, it is not runny but is thick and applies easily. One thick coat is enough to achieve the colour, however, in the bottle, it has a very light pink colour to it, but on the nails, it appears more whitish than faded pinkish colour, which reminds me of the Essie ballet slippers nail polish. The brush is great, and the polish lasts a good few (three to four) days. Even after using a great base coat and a top coat, the polish will chip away, depending on what you are doing. Overall, a nice decent nail polish but slightly pricey.

I find this polish nail very nice, cute presentation and very nice colour although very expensive in my opinion. It maybe be because of the association with the Hello Kitty brand.Even if it is really nice I would suggest to apply it twice to have more coverage. I have psoriasis on my nails so they are a bit wavy and when I have applied it once it didn't have a nice presentation and also you could see my nails were not completely flat.
