It works Well with Android
This is second or third gen Kardia. Much improved over Gen I. It does not need to be glued to your cellphone which was a big design flaw. I dropped my cell once, the device failed, and the cell was undamaged due to its armored case. It uses radio not sound to communicate with the phone. Much less interference and much much better signal/noise ratio, and much less sensitivity to vibration. My problem is SVT and PVC. It does an excellent job of detecting and recording both. It is repeatable, in that strips of the same electrical problem taken months apart show the same waveform. If you know a bit about EKGs it helps. Note that it does not know what it is looking at; except perhaps for AFIB, but I can't test that. For everything else (I believe) you need to either (a) diagnose it yourself, or (b) email it to your cardiologist. I have done both. My doctor is a big fan, because he can look at the strip any time he can, I don't have to call him, and he doesn't get disturbed if he is in an OR. Especially useful and potentially life saving if you are far from a hospital but have cellphone service. You can send your doc the strip, then talk if you can reach him/her and decide what to do. E.g. take a drug if you have them on you, drive to the nearest hospital, call 911, etc. I highly recommend Kardia for anyone who has heart problems and has a rudimentary understanding of EKGs.

Works as advertised, but it's sometimes difficult to get a strong signal on your phone.
This is very handy and convenient to carry. It shows you an EKG on the screen of your phone. You probably don't know how to interpret an EKG unless you have special medical training. But it analyzes the data and tells you whether your heartbeat is regular and whether you currently have A-fib.I found the unit difficult to use. I have to press my fingertips very firmly on the metal pads and hold the unit very close ( 1 to 2 inches) to the phone to get a strong usable signal. Sometimes I am still unable to get a usable strong signal despite my best efforts. (Yes, I checked the battery and it's fine.) I found that cleaning the unit and my finger tips with alcohol helps a little.

Peace of Mind
This is a great little piece of medical technology that brings us peace of mind. I bought it for my wife as sometimes her heart “races” and it’s to know if there is a problem. Fairly easy to use with the app.

Review measurments.
Appears to be very sturdy and protective. It's a little big (in thickness) for what I wanted to carry in my purse, but certainly be great for protection if packing in travel bag. It does take a little work to remove the KardiaMobile from the case as it is held tightly by the elastic strap. I think it will become easier as band stretches a little.

A GREAT item to have at home!
We ordered this when I noted a very slight irregularity in my husband's pulse and we decided to buy one. It arrived the next day and is VERY easy to set up. We got the idea from a youtuber to save the tracing as a PDF and we could print it and bring it with us to our next medical appointment. It offers GREAT peace of mind.

Easy way to get a real 6 lead ECG
This is an amazingly clever device to get a "6 lead" ecg. If you need to monitor a heart condition of some sort then this is an ideal device because it easily shares a pdf copy of the ECG that can be emailed to yourself or to your doctor. One trick - the third lead for the device needs to be put on your left knee or ankle. To get a good electrical contact I have found that it is helpful to very slightly moisten the contact beforehand.

Zipper sticks. Would not buy again.
I bought this case, thinking I would save some money when compared to the one sold by Kardia Mobile (and trying to stay away from a case with magnets, if possible). Ever since buying the case, however, the zipper has gotten stuck and is near impossible to open. I have only used the case about 5 times, and the majority of the times that I have, I have had to struggle to open it.I wrote the seller and was told that my purchase was outside of the 30 days, so I would need to contact the manufacturer of the product. They did not provide any contact info, and basically gave me the impression that it was not their problem.I found the manufacturer on Google and contacted them. The item is only 2 months old, and I had been keeping it unzipped due to the difficulties unzipping the zipper. The manufacturer wanted a photo of a stuck zipper (despite that it just looks like a partially unzipped zipper when stuck). I tried to take a photo when stuck, but unfortunately, could not get it open after that....and just pulling on the zipper broke the pull entirely off of the zipper, and had to use a pliers to pull the darned thing open (and even that took 15 minutes. It has been a couple days, and I have not heard back from Tulia, the manufacturer. It is not an isolated issue, and many seem to be having the same issue with the zipper (on the Amazon reviews, 4 out of the most recent 12 all seem to complain about the same thing, the ZIPPER.I wish, retrospectively, that I had purchased the better case, made by Kardia (Alivecor). Live and learn.
