Can someone tell me if it is important to use this conditioner and then the deep conditoner ? I have 4c hair and have only been using the latter

Depending on you hair regime you should use a moisturising shampoo then the shea moisture conditioner. Next time you wash your hair use a clarifying shampoo to clear your scalp from all the oils and use a hair masque to deep condition your hair and scalp. Then keep this rotation. Hope this helps

Is this any good for low porosity hair?

Yes, I use it on my hair which is also low porosity and 4b-4c hair
