WRUB-2011 AirDash Wireless USB Stick Twin Pack

It is completely useless. Drivers came with CD can not even find its own device. Keeps asking to plug in the unit while it is there. I tried various ways to make it recognize the device but couldn't. And gave up wasting my time. I bought another one from Best Buy from other manufacturer. Voilà, plug and play. My PC is brand new and just installed OS. And I am a software engineer knows a thing or two about computer. If all the thing I have bought, this is truly a piece of crap. Don't buy it. Period.

I was a little wry about so called simple out of the box peer-to-peer USB wireless network sticks as I hadn't worked with them, let alone any wireless networks. It really couldn't have been more simple. The software guides the installation process with both a beginner and advance setup, both allowing to perform peer-to-peer or access point connections. State whether the computer of interest is the internet host or sharing from another and it takes care of the rest. There is 64 & 128 bit security setup with Alphanumeric and passphrase verification. CON: Some reason, I can't achieve a rate above 2MBits at a distance of 15 feet. Will have to consult the manufacturer as the help section does not address this concern.

For the money the Air Dash is perfect. I have a 50 foot reach through 2 walls and get 100% constantly. Hooked all 4 computers up to the router this way. Installation was SUPER easy, (just answer the questions)and done in less than 5 minutes. I do not understand numbers but I can keep a constant 1 gig download speed that I pay for. This seller is also the best. Shipped NEXT day in original sealed box. They can date my sister!! George Austin
