Ape Tape Kinesiology Recovery Tape to Promote Fast Healing and Quick Relief for Muscle Injuries, Available in 2-inch and 4-inch Sizes

This was my first experience with kinesiology tape of any sort. Here's how it went: My injury was actually from a fall, and I should have gone to the doctor. But, I'm stubborn. I didn't have high expectations that the tape would do much, but I've been pleasantly surprised. Upon application, I could immediately tell the difference and the relief it gave my shoulder. As I mentioned this was my first venture with any sort of athletic tape. I applied the tape myself with the help of a couple YouTube videos (If I can do it, odds are you can too). The first round stayed put for a solid 4 days and that's with me getting it wet, visiting the pool and hot sauna. I'm feeling pretty confident that within a couple weeks I'll be back in the gym or on a yoga mat!

I've used Kinesio tape for years and thought I'd try something different. I find this product unusable because of the strong chemical odor emminating from the roll. It could be from the APE TAPE printing, but after three hours of being hung outside it still smells bad. Certainly not something I'd like to put on my skin. I'm surprised no one else seems bothered.

Great performance, but I wasn't wild about all of the writing on it.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I received Ape Tape at the perfect time as we ran out of our other K-tape and my daughter still needed a full knee support for soccer.It holds in place very well, just like it should. It has an amazing stretch, which you cannot really see me stretching in the video. I should have shown that more. However, even with tape on, my daughter still had to wear her knee sleeve over it. This was not due to the tape, but more her own precautions as her first game was coming up in 2 days, and she had a pageant she needed to walk the day before the first game. So she was overly cautious.The tape does have a rubbery/asphalt-type smell to it. My daughter swears it smells like moth balls, but I didn't get that.When removing the tape after a few showers, it is not difficult to remove, especially if you hold your skin taught while pulling on the tape. It is easier to remove in the shower.However, if you have thin skin, please use extra caution.There are many videos and tutorials online for applying tape for different needs, but my best recommendation is to have your Physical Therapist show you how to apply it to make sure it is done correctly.I have a bum shoulder and it needs to be taped into place, actually pulling my supraspinatus tendon back and down into place. Ape Tape holds it in place without an issue. The stretch and firm adhesive is amazing.I did receive Ape Tape at a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

I've used other tapes in the past and the first thing that jumped out to me was the size of this tape. It looks thicker than I am use too which is a good thing. It comes in both 2in and 4in which I find to be awesome. I've been using Ape Tape for the last 3 days now and as a whole I like it. I am using it to help with my achilles tendons on both feet and boy does it work! You can feel immediate relief soon as you apply the tape to your troubled area.I live in the south though so within minutes of starting my workout I was drenched in sweat and the Ape Tape started sliding off of my leg. I will attribute it to human error since my second application lasted a lot longer but I did discover two things: 1) Clean the area you want to apply the tape to with alcohol first. 2) Make sure to round your edges when you cut your tape. I truly think those two adjustments make or made the difference.I did receive this product in return for my honest review.

A friend of mine suggested tape for my hands. I have moderate to severe carpel tunnel in my right hand. I work in a dental office and have been for 23 years. Using this tape for my hands has helped reduce pain and inflamation. It is waterproof and lasts for days. I strongly recommend Ape tape for anyone with symptons similar to carpel tunnel. Ape tape has the flexibility I need to continue working pain free. Great product!

I play in basketball leagues and the 2" ape tape is perfect for my sprained ankle. Alleviated the pain quickly and I was able to play longer. Definitely recommend this to anyone who is active playing sports. The blue color is awesome as well.

Ordered and received my Ape Tape. Got it because my Brother-In-Law got me signed up for Krav Maga and it's kicking my butt and I'm constantly sore. Anyway, this has helped me after every class. Will buy more if I continue . Good stuff
