BOSS Audio Systems CH4630 4 x 6 250 Watt 3 Way Car Door Speaker Pair

I really can't find a reason to give it any less than 5 stars. I purchased a pair of these, plus a pair of 6x9's to replace the ones in my 1989 Trans Am. These fit very well in the front section underneath the dash where the factory ones were, and went in without a problem. I used the ends of the wires provided in the package to connect the speaker to the factory wiring harness. Room for improvement: the provided wires could have used finished plugs on BOTH ends. Would have made life a little bit easier, but it isn't reason enough to dock one star. I used the factory screws to mount them, no issues there. They took up the same amount of space under the dash as the factory 4x6's. They fit flush. Performance-wise, I'm satisfied. These, combined with 6x9's in the rear behind my head, make for a very full sound with ADEQUATE bass. I played some classic rock and some EDM, and overall it handled very well. I cranked the volume to the maximum my ears could tolerate, and I heard no crackling, popping or distortion of any kind. A subwoofer is needed in order to complete the system, but the sound system as it is now, is totally acceptable. BOSS audio makes a great speaker for the price. I wouldn't change a thing about it. It's a nice, full sound with plenty of tolerance for abuse. If you're on a budget and need speakers to replace your "full-range" speakers, these are for you.

I ordered these speakers specifically for the 4x6 size to replace the factory speakers in my 1999 chevy silverado. The speakers sounds as good as any I listened to at Best Buy, for triple the price. I save quite a few bucks by going with these speakers. I personally cant tell a difference but then again, im not an audiophile. I did not see any comments mentioning that these speakers each come with a set of wires (perhaps the specs mentioned it but I glossed over the statement), complete with the female ends attached. This is not a big aide for car installations, due to the wiring already being in the doors, but when you are creating a new system, as was I, it is beneficial. It seems as if one set of the wires were backwards. meaning the red positive cable was tied to the smaller female end. maybe they over looked that when they put these together. not a big deal to me since i used a butt connector. I cannot speak for longevity of the product, but I can say that all four speaks were functioning correctly our of the box. Anything was better than the standard paper speakers my truck had came with. In all honesty, i am super happy with my purchase and now i might buy that boss active amp for my truck. Seems like a good quality product based off other peoples reviews.

Pretty much for such a cheap price you cant go wrong. The sound is crisp and clean, cones are durable polycarbonate and they look good. I replaced the stock 4 x 6s in my 2000 Grand Am (which by the way sounded fantastic, just the cones were old and cracking.)with these and they definately did the trick. The low tones are clear (although not very deep) and the mid and high range sounds fantastic. If your just trying to improve an already good system or making a good system from scratch I would definately run these. I have 2 Boss 4 x 6's 2 Boss 800w 6 x 9's and a boss 400w Amp and Shallow Mount sub. The entire system sounds absolutely incredible with deeep low tones and incredibly clear mid and high range. The system costed under $150.00 to put together and it sounds better than most top dollar equipment people generally buy. If you use the right enclosures and mount the boxes in the right place you dont need thousands of watts of power to get a good boom.

I bought these speakers as a cheap replacement for the stock speakers in my 1994 Chevrolet C1500 Silverado. The original speakers that were in the front quit working and only crackled and popped. The speakers were a perfect fit and I was able to put the original cover over them. I did not have to use any of the mounting hardware that came with the speakers because I used the original screws. The speaker wires are adequate, but I might suggest using a heavier gauge wire if you are not going to use the factory (car) speaker wires. The sound quality is better than I expected after installing them my pup (Isabella Danger Barkalini) and I took a ride and listened to some tunes. We were both pleased. They start to get a little distorted when the volume is turned all the way up, but my wife says I can't listen to music that loud anyway. I would recommend these speakers to anyone that doesn't want to break the bank and wants original sound system quality.

I assume the speakers are good for most, however I bought two pair by accident (not realizing two per box) & all 4 blew out within 24 hours of having them attached to my 2003 Malibu stock radio. Not sure why they all went out but definitely wasted my money :(

I used these speakers to replace the 30+ year old 4x6 inch factory speakers in my 1992 VW Cabriolet. What a massive improvement. They were an easy install and the sound is so much better. I am really happy with my purchase and wish I would have done this sooner.

My mom bought a used Cavalier, and the person she got it from had a fancy system in it, which he removed before selling. So My mom was left with a large hole where the radio should be and no speakers at all. She's nowhere near being an audiophile, so I decided to go the cheap route and save her some money. I bought these speakers for her doors along with a pair of Boss 6x9's for her rear deck, being driven by a $79 Pioneer head unit. Out of the four brand new Boss speakers installed, only one worked, and it sounded terrible. Didn't even bother trying to return them, in the trash they went. Put in a set of cheap speakers from Wally World and they work great, so obviously 3 out of 4 of the Boss speakers were defective out of the box. Stay away from this brand.

I bought these for my 89 Wrangler and was very surprised by the sound. Great little speaker for the money. I didn't want to spend a lot on speaker for my Jeep because really - how much sound quality are you expecting in an old Jeep with the top down doing 60 mph? That being said these actually sound a lot better than I was expecting. They aren't tinny and have a rich sound to them. Are there better speakers? Of course, but for something like an old Jeep they are perfect.

Me encantaron tiene un gran sonido se las recomiendo. Les falta detallar que son dos bocinas para no quedar con la duda al comprarlas.

Quería ponerle unos altavoces traseros a mi VW Golf Cabriolet mk1 ya que no los trae de serie. Estéticamente son preciosos y el diseño de la rejilla está muy logrado, aunque en este caso no me importa porque irán tapados por los paneles. A nivel de sonido los he montado y aunque se escuchan bien, no están a la altura de los Magnat que tengo.
