First of all: purple eggs! European is a nice expansion to the Wingspan game. Some additional bird powers and more birds that you might not be as familiar with. Absolutely recommend playing with the expansions! While this expansion adds to the game somewhat, it really doesn't change it too much. Just gives you a little more. The round-end bird powers are great! The Oceania expansion, to me, makes the game a lot more fun. A lot more cards get used, the addition of game-end bird powers is nice too. The regular bird powers are more interesting too. They really give you the ability to acquire a lot more food, cards and eggs. Love the addition of the nectar - another way to earn more points and do more things. I can't imagine playing the game anymore without the Oceania expansion!Highly recommend!

We bought this expansion not long after getting the base game. Not because we thought the base game needed an expansion, but because we loved the base game and all the birds so much that we wanted more. I also wanted those lovely purple eggs. We didn't even realize that it added new powers to the game when we bought it.The new powers are definitely worth it. There are pink cards that let you do a certain thing when another player does it. (Like tuck a card when another player tucks a card) Passive income, my daughter calls it.There are blue cards that give a bonus at the end of each round. More birds of course. And some really great purple eggs that I was very excited about.

This is the European expansion to Wingspan, (the original game just contains North American birds) which my husband and I received for Christmas. My husband is English, and so it's great to have both, as we visit the UK all the time and enjoy looking for different types of bird. The game and expansion are beautifully illustrated, and we found it remarkably quick to understand. There are only 4 different action types you can take, but there are several types of card, so the game is relatively easy to learn, but stays interesting. We've played ourselves a few times, and had a game with 3 friends as well, and everyone enjoyed it.There are wonderful bonus cards to help you get more points at the end, and those cards have percentages listed at the bottom, to show you what percentage of birds in the deck meet the bonus card criterion. What really impressed me is that when the creators made the expansion, they built it in such a way that the percentages at the bottom of the original game's bonus cards remain accurate! Very well designed.Highly recommend this game!

We have played a lot of boardgames and this by far is our favorite!!! Huge fans of the core set, so getting the expansion was no question. Happy with the additional components and new card powers. If you seleeve the cards the additional card holder will allow you to hold all cards (then variant play 6 up instead of 3). Amazing quality, artwork, and love the gameplay. Easy to set-up and after one play through the game is easy to get into. Good mix of strategy and luck with great combos. As nature lovers the theme is an added plus! It also works very well into the gameplay. Relaxing, fun, and challenging all at the same time. Lots of replayability and after multiple plays each session feels different. So much variety with the goals, objectives, and cards that come up in the shuffle. Can't wait for more expansions/content for this game! Also enjoy the solo player variation!

Perfect edition to the original wingspan!

These games are a little expensive but well worth it because they're so well-made and unusual. Get the base Wingspan game and play it a little while before you get the expansion. This expansion adds a ton more birds and really brings out the fun or discovering new birds as you're playing the game. Great replayability too. I've become a fan of Stonemaier Games because of Wingspan and the expansions don't disappoint! Their motto is "We believe in creating memorable, beautiful, fun games." I certainly think they've succeeded!

Some people didn’t like how this pack altered the game play. I think it is improved play. I did, however, choose this one over the Oceania expansion because that one adds a food source, changes the play mats and dice. This one adds a bunch of bird cards, and some round-end goal cards. Some of the new birds carry specific end-of-round bonuses which is new.Amazingly, the game makers are extremely accessible on their website. I posted a question and Jamey (co-owner? I think. My wife photographed him once) answered the post in about two hours!Overall, super fun game. There is a learning curve for sure, but once you get it, it’s super fun. My wife likes that you don’t really know who’s “winning” until you tally scores at the end.

Adds extra birds to the game~ buy this after you've bought and played the base game and the Oceania expansion a number of times. Overall Wingspan is one of my favourite games so i would recommend this expansion to see more cute birdies

Great expansion for a great game

Game is OK

Amplia muy bien el juego base, lo suficiente para sentirse diferente con las nuevas cartas de ave y los nuevos objetivos de fin de ronda. Aunque es algo complejo notar las nuevas cartas durante las primeras partidas. Lo recomiendo si ya se la han dado bastantes partidas al juego base.

Fantastic addition to an already fantastic game. I highly recommend wingspan and it's expansions.
