I've purchased these clips five times! I love them, but little pieces kept breaking off of them until there were too many teeth missing to hold up my hair. I like the way the pony tail looks, and this is the only thing that doesn't hurt my head; even scrunchies are uncomfortable. I have thick, coarse hair and these work so well for me--easy to put in and hold up all day (unless teeth are missing!). This last batch seems much stronger than the previous, so I have high hopes that I don't have to buy more any time soon. In this pic I've had the clip in all day, including walking and swimming.

I have a lot of fine, wavy/curly hair and was worried when I saw the size of these. However, these hold a high pony all day for me! I can also use them for a half up look and they hold half of my hair as well as all of my hair. I love the color options and the fact that I got 6 for less than the price of 1 name brand clip! They also seem very sturdy and can even hold my daughter's want/curly, thicker, higher density hair as well! The easiest way to put the clip in and get it EXACTLY where you want it is to put your hair into the pony or half up using one of the clear rubber bands (the kind used for fancy up-do's), then put the clip on and either leave the band in place or snap it and remove it. This way it is so much easier to put in and you don't get random hairs caught in the clip!

These are quite pretty. The issue for me was that my long average thickness hair slide right out, even in a pony tail or similar. The gripping design doesn’t seem to be satisfactory, but give it a try if you think it might work. Ease of use is average; it is a little tough to ‘twist’ the two ends together. Recommend for coarse, thick hair.

There is so much less hair loss/damage with these compared to hair ties. I have thin, curly hair, and they look great, but they do slip out sometimes. They wouldn't be large enough for very thick hair, and probably wouldn't hold fine straight hair. The black ones are flimsier than the other colors.

These do not hold in fine thin hair. They would probably be OK for thick hair but since they were advertised to hold thin or fine hair I have to give them a low rating. Also, they are extremely overpriced!! They look cute and I really wanted them to work!

If you have curly hair these are great for putting it up without ruining your curls. I always have one on hand now! Must have items.

These are straight trash. They do hold up my straight fine hair for a bit, but they are not easy to put in, and they pull my hair one strand at a time while slowly slipping out. They way these clips are designed make it so you have to hold your hair with one hand, while fiddling with the clip with the other, which makes it very difficult to not trap hair in the clasp, and to get a tight hold. When it inevitably traps a few hairs in the clasp, it starts to pull at one single hair at a time, which is super irritating. They aren’t completely useless, but I wish I hadn’t bought these.

Love to keep one of these at my desk and one in my purse. Easy to throw hair up. Quick, cute, and for me, way less painful than it is for me with a hair tie. And if your hair gets those indentions easily from a hair tie, it could be a lot less pronounced with one of these. That’s how it works for my hair. I am thin strands of hair, slick Asian hair, and once upon a time a LOT of hair.
