This is a great starter set. The price is less than 25 dollars but I get so many different tips to play with. I bent the tips to fit my personal needs. With this inexpensive set, I feel comfortable to write with force without worrying. I will be worry if it is my other expensive fountain pens. There are four ink bottles that come with. The pen barrel is made of wood so it is comfortable to hold. The barrel also has an embellished carved design, very stylish. All in all, at this price, it is a great set to start practice calligraphy arts.

So I have no idea how to do calligraphy but I have always wanted to learn. So I bought this pretty little calligraphy kit. I’ve been watching YouTube videos and the items in this kit are far superior to what I have been seeing people use. The pen is absolutely gorgeous. The ink is very vibrant and eye catching. The pen writes well. All the tips make writing look differently. The instructions that were included was also very helpful. I just need practice, and time, lots of time. But I couldn’t have picked a better calligraphy kit to purchase. I highly recommend.

I am a beginner in Slavic calligraphy, so I just bought this stuff for learning. I like that it has 4 colors and a lot of different tools for different kinds of fonts, but It looks like a nice gift - all things nicely packed in a neat box. I mainly use the main pen - it works for my letters, so definitely can recommend it.

The media could not be loaded.  I received my pen and was pretty excited about it. While the thin nibs worked smoothly, all the wide ones were missing the stroke really badly and some were not even working. Also the wooden pen I received was slightly broken ( which I don't mind) unless the nibs work fine, but that was not the case. Really disappointed.

Made on a lathe, this wooden calligraphy pen is an absolute favorite! I plan to buy a couple more! The inks were lovely, and the pen comes with a nib which is interchangeable with any standard nibs.

This beautifully presented set comes with four ink colors, a beautiful wooden straight nib holder, and a selection of nibs that includes fude, broad, and sharp point, allowing a beginner to try different nibs and find the ones that are most comfortable to write or draw with. The ink is good quality, thin, and packaged carefully to avoid spilling, and the holder comes with a small golden colored pen rest. The information pamphlet is brief and mainly shows pictures of the different writing styles, but is not a step by step tutorial, nor does it explain the nibs and their uses, so I would suggest a calligraphy beginner workbook as a supplement to this kit and a few online video tutorials before starting. Also, you'll need to purchase heavy paper or a sketchbook as this set does not include any practice materials. Protect the table surface with a plastic mat so you don't stain your work surface while you're learning to control the ink flow. Highly recommended. Makes a great gift. Enjoy!
