iConsepts Laptop Cooling Station - Black (M10517N-MB)

I am disappointed with this product because of it's size. It does not "fit notebooks of all sizes". Perhaps I should have paid better attention to the exact size but -- I would think a lot of people rely on what the seller is telling you in their narrative.I purchased this for my brother who has an old 15" inch laptop and it barely fits.It works - the cord is a little short.Other reviewers said it was a very long cord and I actually liked that part but, it's not long - it is short. Really short.He really won't be able to use it for long so I will just use it for one of our netbooks without the fan. Just something for it to sit on so I will put it to use.A few weeks back, I purchased a cooler for myself. Syba CL-NBK68022 Single 160mm Fan Cooler Stand for 15 to 17-Inch Laptops. I should have just ordered another one for him. Great product - big enough and works well.Note. A family member has been using the cooler. The cooler is on a desk and the laptop sits on it. It is hardly ever moved. I had to do some work on his computer so I unplugged the cooler and when I did I noticed only one fan was working and I asked him about it. He told me that the fan on the right stopped working almost immediately after I gave it to him.I'd recommend not purchasing.

I have a Compaq Presario CQ62. Plain and simple it has an over heating problem. I have never seen a Compaq that didnt after a few months. I took my computer apart, cleaned the fan out real good and that helped a little...So I ordered a new fan replacement part but it would be up to 5 weeks before I got it. So I ordered this for cheap as a hold off.My cord to plug it in is about a foot an a half long. Its a good length for when I turn my computer around to show my husband something. The base itself is small. Perfect size for a netbook or something. But gets the job done on my 15.4 screen. The fans are low power and quiet but they help alot. And I dont have to worry about leaving my computer on the bed on a book anymore other than my dogs kicking it off every now and then lol. With the fan its been kicked off twice so far and the jack seems fine, usb is fine, and nothing jarred on the inside. I wouldnt trust my dogs to step on it though as its very then (one is 57lbs the other is 142lbs... And I fear them stepping on it! so be extra careful if its in the floor or low area), But I like how its designed. It has an open back to allow the hot air to escape. Plastic is FLIMSY. But because it is so thin the hot air can partially escape through the plastic as well, better than a thick model. Overall, its pretty decent!

smelled like burnt plastic. after 10 months.... still smell like burnt plastic! my kids backpack stinks like burnt plastic after carrying it in his backpack.other than the stink it does work just fine.

Trash. As soon as I opened it, the jack on the pad was very loose and would come out of the cooling pad when I tried to remove the cord. It was very difficult to pull the cord out and hold the jack in so that it wouldn't break. I tried to hold it in place with super glue, but it no longer worked when I tried plugging it in again because it took so much pulling and pushing with the jack and inside cords that it had broken by then. Their return policy was refreshingly complicated and it would have taken an act of Congress to get my money back so I gave up my last resort. I wouldn't even use it to prop my table.

Not so great for using in your lap because your laptop will slide off. But if you keep your laptop on a solid, stable surface, than this thing will keep it cool. I was a bit skeptical when I bought it, but compared to the last laptop cooler that I had, this thing gets the job done. I'm just worried that the design will keep me from cleaning out the dust in a couple of months.

Do not buy this product. It does what it is supposed to but the cheap plastic smell is absolutely unbearable. It smells horrible. I put it on my comforter for about half an hour with my laptop on it. After I put it away, my comforter still smelt like the cheap nasty plastic from the product. I had to wash it. I will try to describe the smell a little better. It smells like you threw a whole bunch of plastic in a fire. That is exactly what it smells like. Burnt plastic.

i bought this, quite frankly, because it was cheap. still, i was shocked at just how cheaply made it was once it arrived. i didn't expect it to last more than a couple of weeks.boy! what a surprise!it does a fine job of cooling my laptop and no matter how i mistreat it it just keeps on working. i have dropped it repeatedly, i've sat on it, yanked the cord out of it, my 123 lb dog has walked on it, chewed on it, and flipped it across the room. and still it works.granted, it has only been 7 months but it has taken a beating etc. etc. for under $10 it has performed above and beyond it's $8.88 price tag!

Just a USB exterior fan cooler for a laptop. Doesn't really do that much cooling, but it does help. I'm thankful for it.
