Lenses: Applying Lifespan Development Theories in Counseling

I like it

This is a collection of essays that highlight the different marginalized communities we encounter in our society. This is by no means an exhaustive collection but it's depth of reflection, especially from a counselor a perspective is invaluable. Highly recommended

i am new to kindle, but i love the speed of the books sent via kindle. the accuracy has been great so far. and it is instant gratification, who could ask for more?

This book was required for my human development class. There are a lot of different theories explored here giving information about many perspectives and theories about why human beings behave in the ways that they do. It is very informational but also provides real life examples and case studies.

bh. interesting book. written very clear and lucidly. good book for students of the psycho/social fields and anyone for that matter looking to further their knowledge.

This text has been a breath of fresh air in my Lifespan Development course as a much needed complement to the usual chronological presentation of human development. Kraus has thoughtfully chosen and guided the chapter authors so that the text artfully brings together ethnic and cultural diversity with classic human development theory in the context of postmodern thought. Philosophical and theoretical material is eminently readable without losing depth, and the rich counseling case descriptions (one in each chapter) provide concrete application and stimulate meaningful class discussion. Thank you!

The book is well organized and the content is engaging. Part way through using the book the pages started to fall out, due to a poor binding. The return time passed and I would be hesitant to purchase such a costly book online again.

It’s a good book but the condition of the rental I received was not the best.
