Perfect fit original item ( You could use a little bit of dish soap to act as a lubricant for the rubber seal) One thing to remember they give you a plastic sheet with the updated solenoid ( The part number is newer than original one) The sheet goes in first it basically diverts the water away from the bottom of the dishwasher ( which has a flood sensor built in E:15 error ). You will need a few towels to catch water ( if once you have put back together you get the error tip the dishwasher backwards and mop up the water that comes out from the base ) The actual solenoid clips in from both sides as you turn, make sure it's in both grooves .. Good luck plenty of DIY videos on YouTube the internals are basically the same we have a serie 6 and the videos were for older models but almost same once sides were off

Fixed E19 for me
Fixed my E19 error on my Series 6 dishwasher. Watched some YouTube videos. Make sure to have a flannel underneath and release the bulk of water by turning it not quite fully open first, you'll see the water level in the labyrinth drop a lot. There will still be a little water left after that you need to catch with a flannel to avoid then getting E15 which will require taking the door and front off the machine!

Bosch appear to have designed this part to fail every two years.
repair Bosch dishwasher E19 - now 5 years old, this is the second valve. Job is a bit fiddly getting the new valve fitted so it doesn't leak, but every time I fix it, saves me £150 or so. Help on Youtube. I fell at first hurdle - T20 Torx screws - so bought a set, money well spent as these screws are used in many gadgets. Not for the ham fisted, but definitely OK for a good do it your selfer after you have watched one of many step-by-step videos.
