Bought this set as a gift for my daughter. I wouldn't do it again because they are so fragile. Even if you are careful with them they are easily broken as we learned trying to cut chicken using the middle sized blade. Since then I checked out more information about ceramic knives and you can't even cut garlic with them. The blade snapped clean off right where the blade meets the handle. They are known to be fragile but apparently some people like them because they don't stain and they don't cause lettuce to brown. I will opt for carbon steel and replace her knife with a Henckels international 8" classic. It is more expensive but I am so sorry for getting her the fragile knives I want to make sure she has at least one good replacement.

It's a sharp knife, however, it only lasted me for four times of cooking.Pro:Easy to clean and remains sharp for a long time.Con:The handle design is very fragile.I used it to cut some cabbages and it cracked where it links the knife and became unusable.For something this price, they really should have a good handle.If not for the sharpness, I would have given an one star.

Very sharp, like I wanted, but don't have much use for the middle knife. Would have preferred two small or two large.

I had broken my friend's ceramic knife, I didn't know they were so fragile, so I went online looking for a German Ceramic Knife and found these AND they were on sale. I had hoped they would pass the test of my friend, she is very particular about her knives, and she LOVED them !!..... and that is saying A Lot !Thank you for saving me.

This was my first foray into ceramic knives and I entered hesitantly into this new world of cutlery. I am, by trade, a chef and I have always used German brand carbon steel knives. I associate German manufacturing with supreme quality and decided this brand must be the obvious choice (especially since I got such a great deal on them). However, after only my second use, I was hand washing them and the chef's knife slipped out of my hand and fell about 3 inches to the bottom of my sink and chipped! Being these ceramic knives are supposed to be harder than steel, I was standing there, looking at my new knife and IT'S new chip lying in the bottom of my sink making me feel like I should have stuck to carbon steel. For me, this is not the way to go.

Bought these a few months ago, because I needed a set of knives that were better than my ikea ones I had. I rarely used these since they were pretty pricey, so I was completely shocked when I broke the blade in half while cutting an onion.... Seriously, an onion. I also managed to cut myself up pretty good. Definitely do not recommend these knives.

I've never owned a set of ceramic knives so I'm not entirely sure what to expect. All the reviews I read mentioned that these knives were super sharp, except these knives could NOT cut through a standard weight sheet of paper. My old stainless steel knife set, despite it age, slice through printer paper with ease; I make sure to keep knives razor sharp. These ceramic knives struggled just making a one inch cut.Again, zero experience with ceramic knives, so I do not know if this was normal or not, what I do know is that I didn't want to ruin my chances of returning these knives, so I did not test them again a piece of meat.Knives were boxed up and returned for a full refund.
