ProWarm ProTouch WiFi (Black) thermostat for electric underfloor heating

Good software nice app seems to have a lot of flexibility and control functions works well with my electric underfloor heating

The manual is absolutely useless connecting to Wi-Fi . I’ve got a BT-WI-FI and couldn’t connect for love of money. Tried for ages until I read a review on Amazon .So have a go at this :1 : turn on device obviously.2 : select setup until it is flashing3: press AND Hold down the up AND the down arrow buttons at the same time .NOW ONE OF TWO THINGS WILL HAPPEN , YOULL GET A F1 DISPLAYED AM DRHE WI-FI INCON WILL REAPID FLASH . If it is let go of the UP and DOWN arrows and then STILL within THE SET UP ICON press the UP and down ARROWS AT THE SAME TIME until the Wi-Fi icon is flashing SLOWING .4: with the Wi-Fi icon flashing SLOWLY.Follow your instructions on the APP , NOT THE MANUAL.5 : NOTE : it’sLikely that the display will DIM OUT as you are using the App on your phone .Don’t worry about it .Tap the far left button and it will wake up and the Wi-Fi icon should noLonger flash and your app will then be connected .

The setup for the WiFi is useless, it give no hints in the instruction manual that are helpful, the app itself describes setup for a different device, there's nothing of any use on the vendor's website and their support is useless.Don't buy this useless piece of junk.

I am really very savvy with this type of equipment but how the hell do you connect this to WiFi. I have spent 2-hours and more on this occasion but still cant see my network. This is not good. The device itself is pretty good when its working so I cant complain about that but today I had to reconnect and I am stumped. I guess its a call to the underfloor heating store again!16/08/20An update to say that its not the controller at fault but the instruction booklet. On the controller you need to highlight setup and then press both up and down arrows at the same time for a few seconds. The WiFi symbol will flash on the controller and then from your phone you can add device. Your phone should show you the network and then ask for your WiFi password. Once you have done that it will connect. The app itself is excellent.

Cant believe i spent 2 hours trying to work out how to connect it to wifi. Instructions not useful at all. As previous review highlighted u need to select “Setup” then press “up and down” simultaneously for few seconds and just then the wifi symbol will appear on the thermostat which means u can then connect it to your mobile.

Will not connect to WiFi. We recently changed our internet provider so have to change WiFi in thermostat. I have tried everything and it will not connect. It worked fine before and was pleased that we could control the floor remotely as we are often away. The manual doesn’t tell me how to reset and there is no information that I can find on the internet for this model.Edit to above post.I have discovered that new WiFi is 5Ghz. I managed to split it and now connected via 2Ghz. No where could I find this information on ProTouch, it was only because I was having problems with another device.

Works well when setup, and I like the very responsive monochrome display style more than the full colour but laggy competitors unit this replaced. However..I was absolutely pulling my hair out trying to install this, it just would not go into WiFi pairing mode, and NOTHING in the product documentation gave any hints about how to do this (utterly critical) step.I was on the verge of desoldering the lithium battery to get it back to factory settings (as I noticed the unit was in pairing mode when first booted), but fortunately saw Rich's review with the solution.Absolutely zero chance I would have guessed that key combination, and shocking that fundamentally critical information like this needs to be found in an amazon review.Rich, thanks for taking the effort to come back here to post the solution. Definitely owe you a beer!

I have three of these and none of them will connect to WiFi. The app is awful and not fit for purpose. Wish I had read reviews before buying these!
