Pope Francis: Rebuking the Devil
T**.
Insightful and provocative
Pope Francis is provocative. I believe that is on purpose. He wants us to think, to consider our thoughts and words and actions and their repercussions not only for us as individuals but as regards each other and the planet. Here he discusses evil and the Evil One and in the process invites the reader to take a good, hard look at his or her own values and actions.

The Devil Lives
Many don't consider the devils presence today! This offers a reminder of his presence still!Pope Francis recounts the many ways that the devil still entraps us sometimes due to our unconsciousness of his presence! This offers a good reminder of how easy we can fail!

Be innocent as the dove, yet cunningly wise as the Serpant!
Easy quick messages that impart practical spiritual direction. My go to read to remind me what its all about.

Great book to read; biblical and it’s very easy to understand. if you want to know and recognize how the evil spirit works around us from this book of Pope Francis; you will learn a lot. I recommend everyone to have this.

It's okay, but I've read better
This book is "okay" but not great. It is not as I hoped for, which would be some insights in regular book format. In other words, someone telling a story or describing situations, etc. Instead, this is not actually written by Pope Francis at all. The entire book is a compilation of short quotes from Pope Francis, put together in some sort of order by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops. There are no discussions, no in-depth information, and no lengthy explanations or references from any documents. In many places, it is difficult to even understand what's being said because they are short quotes from Homilies, and since you can't read the whole Homily, it's not always clear what the real point is. I was disappointed, and I don't really think I would recommend it to others. If you really want to know the in-depth truth, I would rather recommend Father Amorth's books.
