9176 2-1/2-Inch Cast Iron Swivel Plate Caster, 175-lb Load Capacity

I mounted these on my shop press so I could move it when working with a long piece. It does't get moved often, so the lack of grease fittings didn't matter. I just greased them liberally when installing.

I am very happy with this seller: price was excellent, delivery was two days ahead of schedule and the product was exactly as they described it. I am even happier with the product. It even exceeds what I expected in quality. It is a very sturdy metal swivel caster and will certainly not flatten on the bottom as softer casters often do under even moderate loads that sit for any length of time. Plan to attach them to a wood platform that fits the 18" x 36" 5-shelf shelving stacks in the garage. Great shelving but they can't be moved once they're loaded. These little gems will cure that problem permanently. Glad I ran across them on Amazon.com. Fully intend to purchase 8 to 12 more when my budget permits.

I have six of these on a wood storage cart, used on a smooth concrete floor. They make it very easy to move, rotate, and push sideways against a wall even when heavily loaded. They'll ride over slight obstructions with an extra push. Only quibbles are that the open bearings pick up dirt and sawdust, and squeak. But for a wood shop they appear a good choice.

The style of the product we received is the same as depicted & the quality of the caster appears to be very nice. That being said, the smooth, antiqued finish you see in the image is not at all what we received. The caster has somewhat of a bumpy finish and pretty much looks nickle coated (bright, not tarnished and even nickle coloring). We kept the caster because I still can't find a style quite like this anywhere else. I'm not sure I would have ordered it if I the image reflected the actual look of the product. You can attempt to antique the finish yourself. Again, the style is that depicted but the texture and color is almost exactly the same as the product I've linked in this review: Shepherd Hardware 9782 Steel Wheel Swivel Plate Casters

Great caster for use in my wood shop material benches. works well on my concrete floors. The swivel works well and load rating fits just what I need.

These casters are very good. They worked out very well for my project.
