hands down - the best brush for all cats and dogs with long fur
As the proud owner of three gorgeous Persian cats, finding a high-quality grooming brush is an absolute necessity. After trying it out on my mom's old English sheepdog and being thoroughly impressed, I knew I had to get one for my furry friends. Possibly one of the best brushes I've ever used, this grooming tool has been a game-changer. Usually, my cats despise being groomed, as most brushes tend to get stuck on their fur and matted areas, causing discomfort and even painful hair-pulling. However, with this brush, my babies have had a complete change of heart. Surprisingly, they actually started purring and didn't hiss or scratch me as they typically do during grooming sessions. It's as if they were receiving a relaxing massage! One of the standout features of this brush is the ability to easily push up the comb, allowing the accumulated fur to come off effortlessly. No more painstakingly picking out tangled fur from the bristles โ it's a true time-saver and a blessing for my sanity. It's worth noting that the bristles do feel kind of sharp, so be careful not to brush too deeply into your pet's coat. However, this sharpness is what actually makes the brushing much more effective at detangling and removing loose hair. Whether you have a long-haired or short-haired pet, I would wholeheartedly recommend this brush to anyone seeking a hassle-free grooming experience. It's gentle on your furry friend's coat while effectively removing loose hair and preventing matting. Have not tried it on myself... yet. (But who knows, it might just be the ultimate detangling solution :P)

Makes Cats Love You
So my family has 4 cats, 2 of them long haired. The boy cat, Shadow, and my dad have been thick as thieves. My dad uses a cart as a walker and Shadow will ride it around with dad, watch TV with him, snuggle with him, etc. He was the son my dad never had. Shadow has always treated me like a booty call. In the day time in front of others? Couldn't care less about me. But 3am when he wants snuggles? Slides into my room like, "Hey you up?" just to get some pets and then leave me again. Typical boy. Only problem was Shadow's fur was getting matted. Dad insisted he had the best brush on the market, but the mats spoke for themselves. He tried other methods but Shadow wasn't a fan of those either. We tried a lion cut but he looked so sad afterwards that I will never do that to my baby again. So I did a little Google research and, after seeing some reviews, I tried this one. It's cheap, looked easy to clean, so why not give it a shot? It's been less than a week and already Shadow has forsaken dad for me. Just the first time I tried it he was a big, black fluffball purring happily away. In just a few days I've gone from side chick for snuggles to having him simp. Honestly embarrassing for him. Now any time he feels like he needs a brushing he comes up to me and meows until I give into his demands. Or comes over and puts his head in my hands. Then he just purrs and purrs as I brush him. If I stop, he insists I keep going with aggravated meows. He wants nothing to do with dad now; only brushing. Morning, middle of the day, middle of the night... time is irrelevant to him. He even gets mad if the other cats come around or dare to use HIS brush, even though they love it just as much. All my cats turn into puddles of purrs after just a few brushes. All of their coats are looking shiny and fabulous, though the increase of them catching paws with each other to get brush time has been a bit much. Other than that, I'm happy because the brush is so simple to use and easy to hold onto. Cleaning this brush of fur and dandruff is so much easier to do than normal brushes. My dad has used ones specifically for mats but I've had better success with this one thus far. It makes my short hair cats happy. It can tackle mats on my long hair cats. The cats are obsessed with this brush to the point of abandoning their bonded humans. Only real downside thus far is that I'm going to need to get another one for my dad so his feline son returns to him. So if you want to take good care of your cats coat and can handle them fighting over you, then this brush is great. 5 paws out of 5.

Good Product
This product works well, used it for 2 years for my cat. Can easily remove the fur from my cat and the feature to remove fur from the brush itself is cool.

Easy on the dog, easy for me
This works great on my Labs! They have short hair but shed a lot. This is gentle on their skin and removes the excess hair along with a little of the undercoat. A click and it's clean. I have a Kong Zoom Groom, an undercoat rake, and a few other brushy-type things, but this is the easiest, cleanest, and my dogs' favorite.

Love the Brush
So far this brush is terrific. It works great on my Golden Retriever puppy. getting out knots and grooming hair. But best of all is that the brush cleaner works great!

Good value with cleaning button
Good value for the price especially if your animal has medium length hair or longer. The tines are longer than other more expensive brushes I feel. Must use gently if your animal has short hair so not to irritate their skin. Cleaning button seems a bit clunky and not sure it will go the distance.... so far so good and does the job on my dog's short coat which is beginning to shed as we get closer to summer.

SO MUCH CAT HAIR if cat fur were a valuable commodity it wouldn't be long before Forbes mentions me.
I brushed off enough cat hair to have another cat. I would recommend this brush if you want to brush your fur babies bald. It won't actually ever happen, them being bald, but it is so satisfying to see that fur pile up next you as you spend 30 minutes brushing your cat or dog. I'm starting to think Porkins doesn't even have any skin, she must be made entirely of fur as it NEVER ENDS. She's completely passed out now from all the brushing, she loved it. The push button to retract the bristles is fantastic and makes for easy clean up! Totally worth every penny, and I'm sure Porkins would agree as well, if she understood the basic concept of monetary values. UPDATE // 3 years have passed since I've purchased and reviewed this product. I used it extensively the brush has now come across an issue. I can't say its the brush itself that is at fault, maybe it's the constant push of the button to clear the fur that just couldn't keep up with me, but the push button has now evolved into the strongest thumb workout ever. The resistance the button gives added a new feature to this brush that not only requires what I would measure as the strength of ten teenagers combined (9 of which are looking at their phones while the remaining one sadly their phone has died) has now forced me to realise my own weakness by testing my thumb strength. Some days I have to use BOTH of my thumbs to push down (quitters never win and winners never quit) until I feel that satisfying click as it locks into place. Other days my thumbs are so fatigued I can not bother to retract the bristles and opt for the age old method of cleaning the bristles manually (but those who never win AND never quit are filled with disappointment). 3 years and I still use this brush despite the easy fur removal hindered, possibly obsolete. I'd still recommend this brush as it reaches the undercoat of your fur overlords when they demand their daily brushing therapy.

Does the Job!
Wouldn't want to be without it! It was a top recommendation by Spruce Pets. I just hope that if it ever fails a new one will still be available. Lifts the hair easily. The 3 short-medium haired cats really love it. And the self-cleaning part (where you don't have to even touch the hair) is a real bonus. I supplement also with the FURminator, particularly at high shedding seasons. Highly recommend.
