Will this work on solid wires or stranded cable?

I made a couple of patch cables with stranded and they seem ok. They work perfectly with solid wires.

Do these work with ideal ft-45 crimp tool?

It should work just fine, just remember to cut the ends off the wire after it passes through before you crimp the connector
