can it run on less than 12 volts?

To get the stated 50W/channel, 100W sub. you need to run it at 24V (and at 4-6 amps to boot). Any lower voltage will deliver less power. 12V is the min. voltage that the circuit will work (with much less output power). I guess it will also work at 11V as well (if it's ever connected to a car battery which may go down to such voltage), but not recommended to do so.

Does this amp have a constant hiss for anyone else no matter what volume? Exactly the same when running from a 24v battery (so no mains interference)
