Looks seamless, does its job, easy to remove after install
There are a couple of reviews that indicate the adhesive is tough to remove. I did make a mistake on initial placement and was able to easily remove this with the included fishing wire. Other wise the filter does its job. It does not affect the picture quality, fits perfectly on my Ricoh GR IV and looks seamless on the camera.

Great protection
Great protection for my lens. I just throw my camera in my purse and this keeps the scratches off my actual lens without affecting the image quality.

Be Careful
Be careful if you are trying to remove the filter. I followed the exact method shown in their product video to take off the UV filter, which was slightly misaligned. Even though it had been attached only a few seconds earlier, the adhesive was so strong that it completely removed the front lens cover component of my brand-new Ricoh GR III HDR. Luckily, I was able to reattach the part, and everything still works. I gave up on removing the filter and decided to live with the slight misalignment.

Solid dust protector, but may not withstand heat
I used my Ricoh GR III in various situations, including landscape and street photography, and kept it in my pocket most of the time. I purchased the JJC UV Protective Filter back in March 2023. After two years of use, I found the filter most useful for protecting the lens from dusts and scratches. Its life finally came to its end during the scorching summer of 2025, when I took a road trip to the Gulf Coast. Due to the heat, the glass detached from the filter ring, which was still glued to the camera. As other reviewers have noted, the glue is extremely strong--so much so when I removed the filter, it nearly pulled off part of the lens's outer component, even after two years of use. The glue and the removal process can also leave scratches on the lens housing, which happened in my case. Would I purchase another one to protect my camera from dust and scratches? Perhaps.

Wish I would have bought when I purchased the camera
Note: this filter doesn’t fully protect against dust coming into your sensor. The outer barrel can still draw it in. I have always carried a camera pen brush to quickly remove dust. My main reason for getting this filter was something people rarely speak about: the very thin electronic leaf shutter protector. I’m always concerned something will damage it, especially if it’s in my pocket without my lens cap. That’s no longer a worry and makes this filter worth the cost alone. The pictures of the filter makes it look far more obvious and pronounced than it is. It essentially disappears into the camera so it looks like it is part of the original design. It’s tiny, thin, and clear. And now the lens and inner barrel are protected. Plus, it looks good. No instructions provided. Refer to the instructions and video in the promo photos for this Amazon listing. Be careful when removing the 3M sticker backing. It’s tricky. It is easy to accidentally brush the inside of the filter glass and smudge it as you remove it. If I had to do a do over I would use a tweezers. Apply in a room with bright lights. Suggest to hold camera face down (take advantage of gravity) while on to get rid of any dust inside the barrel first and carefully inspect the filter and brush away any dust or clean any smudges before applying. You get one shot applying this filter because it’s so sticky (though the filter does come with an extra 3M sticker if you ever need to reapply). *Tip: It’s easier to apply with the camera turned on and the lens barrel out while the camera is resting facing up on its back.* That will ensure it’s perfectly centred over the identically sized barrel. Careful that the lettering is centred at the top if that matters to you. Keep the tools to remove the filter if you need and the extra sticker. I understand it’s tough to remove and you shouldn’t do it with direct force. I would probably heat lightly and very carefully with a hairdryer and then use the string-based tool as I have read some people have damaged their camera removing with force. I also have the metal lens cover and the glass back screen protector by the JJC. Both high quality and great purchases. Filter and lens cap work great together. I use the included oem strap on the bottom right hook to keep it out of the way and under my hand when shooting. Easy to shoot the camera one handed this way and I’ve never dropped it. The JJC thumb grip not useful for my use case.
