This is the first smartphone I've ever owned, and it's an unexpected bargain. I bought the device largely for the cameras, which I'm going to use to illustrate a book I'm working on. I got a monthly service plan through AT&T for $25 a month. Besides making and receiving phone calls, I can use my device as a mobile hotspot. I also LOVE the fact that my Huawei has no Google apps. My goal is to ditch Google, just as I ditched Microsoft years ago.I'm a little disappointed in the battery, but, like I said, I've never owned a smartphone before. The battery performance might actually be better than the competition.Overall, I've found it very user friendly.

It's terrible because you can not use this phone in USA. You can not download any app.

Obviously you don't need to purchase something to write a bad review I just saw, I write this to prove the point. But I do like Mate 30 Pro camera spec, have been waiting for a looooong time. It's a bit too expensive, waiting for Blackfriday....

Camera, quick loading of apps interface with the car all superior, everything is fast and worry free.Yes there is no Google play store - don't need it unless the apps use google services. Aptiode is a great alternative and so is the Amazon app store.I got the 256GB memory card online as retailers don't have it (would be nice if you could use a card reader with it) so have almost 1 TB of storage. Only Huawei makes the memory card it is the same exact size as the sim card!
