Great book for vegetarian kids
I originally saw it in a friends house! We are bringing our kid up a vegetarian and wanted more ideas. My son has been looking into the book and making requests! At 3 years old, he may not be able to help with a lot of stuff, but it is very easy to follow the steps.

Not the tastiest cookbook in the kitchen...
This is a well developed cookbook, but the recipes leave something to be desired. We eat a vegetarian diet with no flavor/culture boundaries and this seemed pretty boring even for the simplest of eaters. There are about two recipes we were attracted to and as for the rest, we'll just be going through the motions with as part of our homeschooling. I will say the best part is the photo ingredient list for each recipe. This is very helpful to a young cook and new reader. I wish the recipes were more interesting, I think this layout has great potential...

Fun, Easy-to-Make yet Reasonably Healthy Recipes
My 8 y.o. likes to cook many of the recipes from this book herself (under supervision, of course!) The step-by-step photos make the recipes easy to follow. There is a good variety of dishes from kiddie staples like pizza, nachos, and burgers to more elegant gourmet fare like aubergine bolognese, mushroom flan, and pumpkin risotto. And unlike some of the other vegetarian cookbooks aimed at kids/teens, the recipes are for the most part reasonably healthy. Highly recommended for families with vegetarian or "flexitarian" children.

Good veg cookbook
I don't have kids at home anymore but am always on the lookout for new veg ideas with a bit of flair. I first saw this book at the local library and thought it great. Not only do you get the recipes with full colour pix but a shopping list and details on how to do some basic techniques.

Not North American
Book was ok but I sent it back as it is English so everything is in different units and most baking items used self raising flour. Disappointed ๐
