Legit Tour Ball
I am a male golfer in my 60s, with a 15 index. I hit my driver about 210-220 yards. I have been playing Chrome Softs for quite a while, and love the feel and all-around performance. However I have been playing a lot in Arizona lately, and have found that orange balls are much easier to find than white (or other colors) when the ball trickles into the desert. My goal was to find an orange ball that acts like a Chrome Soft.Did I succeed? Pretty much, with some minor differences. The Volvik S3 balls seem to fly just a bit straighter and a tad longer. They feel identical off my hybrids and irons, and the long approach shots and wedges stick to the green just as well as the Callaways. On the green, the Volviks putt very fast. I have to putt very gently with the S3 balls.In a perfect world, I would play an orange Chrome Soft, but these are the next best thing, and true tour-level ball.

Basically a cheaper Pro V1 and fun colors
I think it preforms quite similarly to the ProV1 at a much better price and has fun colors and Cards Symbols around the numbers. Love the performance around the green and the feel of the cover of the ball. But this is coming from a 10 handicapper...

Trying it out
MyGolfSpy tested this ball in 2019 with similar numbers to the PRO V1, PRO V1 X and other tour quality golf balls, but didn't tested in 2021. They spent time testing a range ball and pre=loaded balls. They've said themselves, they're not a big fan of Volvik, because Vivid, Volvik's best selling ball is Matte.
